this is my 1965 honda dream that i've wanted for 55 years. 1963 honda dream ca77 (early).
Electric start in 1965?! Way ahead of its time along with a nice smooth engine and good riding
position this must have been the dogs danglies back in the day
these are honda dream 300s. the designation is ca77 and the motor size is actually 305cc. they came in red, white, blue and black. the black one is a 1966, the white one is a 1964 and the red one is a 1967. i under stand that these were made until 1966 and the unsold ones were titled in the year they sold. a close look reveals a pressed sheet steel frame and fender combo, forks (with leading link springer hidden inside), head light nacelle and side covers. not much tube steel here. square is the predominant shape and sharp lines rule. very distinctive bike that gets lots of attention everywhere it goes. picture kindly provided by www.nemusclebikes.co

Overall, a very clean and nice ride. Two friends of mine had these bikes back in the '60's, one red the other black. To us kids, they were BIG MOTORCYCLES! They rode them regularly and were happy with them. Those were the days of the Allstate Mo-Ped and Allstate Cruisaire. before Honda hit the scene and took it by storm. I had friend with them as well. Me, well I had a Sport 50, and I was lucky to have that. A friend of mine had one also and we used to spend Saturdays cruising the backroads around DeQuincy, LA back in the mid '60's. Sometimes I long for those great days.

I had several Superhawks 1 '65 1 '66 both Black 1 '64 250 Scrambler 1 '69 300 Red Dream.. the Dream had belonged to an Airman that was in Vietnam, the Dream had several bullet holes and several dents from being shot...I left the bike like it was when I bought it...the 250 engine detonated separating the top from the bottom I ended up with a hot rodded 305 that was built to drag race only the transmission was blown so I split the 250 and the 305 and replaced the transmission with the one out of the scrambler engine that was one running old Superhawk...

I think I did 20 videos on different bikes that day so probably a little leeway might be good 😊
