Defense looked good, too. Crummy end-of-half drive + that last minute meaningless TD killed some of the stats. But, holding Bucky Irving to 20 yards on 9 carries was pretty impressive. Nix did his typical accurate short passes to speedy & talented receivers.

Not a fan of either team albeit a Pac-12 fan. I did find myself cheering for the Huskies leading into the game if only because I thought that the Media Talking Heads were too dismissive of the Huskies and acted as if an Oregon win was a given . The OC for the Huskies showed great skill in the play calling, The Huskies demonstrated that the best team will win even of the other team allegedly has the better athletes and professional prospects. Penix averaged 323 yards and 2.7 TD's per game against the #46 SoS in the country.
Daniels averaged 412 yards and 4.2 TD's per game against the #7 SoS in the country.
Even if you took out the rushing yardage (Daniels was something like the 26th best rusher in the country), the passing numbers aren't even close. Daniels' QBR is almost 50 POINTS higher than Penix, and again - against much tougher competition. He literally averaged better than a 1st down every time he touched the ball. If anyone but Daniels wins it this year it will go down as the biggest screw job in Heisman history.
