I have found soaking the ground really helps in loosening the soil. Also, it would help to know how many inches down into the soil and also correct height for mailbox
"Yeah anyway I live in the fuckin Midwest so when I got down a good solid 12 inches I hit hard clay. Now that clay was pretty hard, so I used a fuckin crowbar like a chisel to beat it's ass. Oh, and get this: I ALSO used the crowbar like a KNIFE! Yeah, pretty crazy."
You will thank me later ( I promise you!!) when installing ur mailbox 📬 make sure it’s not on ur property install it in front of ur house or near ur house, by doing this it’s voids their authority to enter ur property. You don’t want to give authority to an entity without giving them permission. Look into it. Plus this is also generational help that you will also thank me later about. Once or if ur house is paid off get an Allodial title for ur property, that’s why you pay taxes because by default no one claimed it so they take it by default. Don’t take no for an answer it’s ur right and ur the first one in line that has this right. God bless
dont forget your house number on the side of the mailbox. it's like when you need to call 911 and dispathc cant find your house because you missing a number. its the same with mailcarriers
how tf are you a licensed contractor 😂
The bar is incredibly low.
The algorithm struck again. I’m due to replace my ancient mailbox and hadn’t yet bothered to see how easy it was. *tongueclick* nice

When I got real tough dirt I have to get through I get it wet. It’s kind of messy but you get through it a lot easier
What was that you pour in? I need to do that this weekend!
Postcrete
If you saturate the digging area it makes it easier 🤓
