For all the flak the prequels get, its score was amazing. Williams' understanding of thematic repetition along with interweaving motifs puts the prequels' score on a different scale than the originals. I think our nostalgia often blinds the amount of love and work Lucas and Williams put into the prequels- everytime I go back to watch the "Scoring SW Webisodes" for I-III, it seems that Williams has the most fun during the prequels because he is emotionally invested into the story.

No doubt, it's his best work within the series.

I agree. Phantom Menace is still the best score in the series to me.

Padme's death and the birth of Vader... one of the best scenes in all the saga hands down.

1:12 with the major chords planing over A minor gives me chills every time. It’s insanely creative

This is another example of Williams taking inspiration from Holst’s The Planets. Sounds so much like Neptune the Mystic.

I love all the Star Wars videos. I haven't seen anything about Rogue One though, and there's some great music that you can shuffle through. (E.g. ones I like are Imperial Suite, Your Father Would've..., "Vader gets mad", etc.) Thanks for considering, and keep producing!!

I think the whole idea of Palpatine being the one that killed Padme through the force to save Vader is great, it was just ruined by a medical droid saying she's 'lost the will to live'

Does John Williams (or any film composer really) just write the music on the piano and hand it to an orchestrator to orchestrate? I was really thrown back when I realised that half of the film composers nowadays don’t orchestrate their own works, although I don’t wanna take anything away from the composer but I feel that orchestrators don’t get enough acknowledgement for their craft.

John Williams dislike computers, and write only on paper. And uses piano as a tool. He then writes notes to tell the orchestrator how it should be ochestrated.
