- In this video, I show how to DIY repair the Odometer and Park Reverse Neutral screen. It is meant to show you how to do it at home without getting into any of the nitty-gritty of repairs. Hope you enjoy it!

Nice job 👍
glad you like it!
I have a 2000 Impala with a nice L67 swap and lots of upgrades. One thing I would love to modify is the Monte SS cluster I currently have installed.
The PRNDL Indicator in the cluster just mirrors the position of the floor shifter. My floor shifter has its own PRNDL Indicators and I have a feel for which position I shift into or out of simply because it's my car, my build, and I know how to drive.
If you know how to get the cluster indicator to mirror the actual gear the transmission is in (in real time) regardless of manual or automatic shifting, that would be awesome!!
Ideal situation would be floor shifter in D as the cluster will indicate 1 while at a dead stop. Floor the accelerator and watch the cluster indicate 2 then 3 then D. And make it happen for deceleration too.
This mod would be great for many vehicles. Possibly make it a selectable mod from the OEM design with the touch of a switch or a menu option.
Thank you for the updated video. This answers all the questions i had from the last video
Congrats on the new job. What sort of position?
Was wondering what kind of solder does Chrysler use on their Ram and Sebring clusters. I am having hard time getting it to flow.
Hello,
What wattage solder iron do you use for the Buick Century resistor replacement project?
Thank You!
Thanks!
No problem!
I like your videos! Do you know what resistor I need to replace one that I broke on my 2004 chevy suburban cluster? It had 240 on it. Also does it matter what direction I put it in?
Direct doesn't matter on resistors but 240 should be 24ohms smd package are the number and than how many 0s so 241 would be 240 ohms 242 would be 2.4k ohms. Some manufacturers don't follow this but that's not common
I’ve got an autel obd2 scanner with the data I think b2 and all the power and grounds and it’s communicating with but not doing any gauge sweeps any advice?
Is this resistor issue in other GM cars too, from the late ‘90’s?
Does that have to do with the temperature gauge?...on my vehicle the temperature gauge is off,..it's always points towards hot...and goes toward cold as it heats up ..
And just to mention anyone with a Regal with the dual display will also have another 4 resistors to the left. Hopefully you'll still have time for us cluster people when you're building mars rover's for Musk?
What are the name of these resistors?
Part number for the replacement resistors?
Are you in the NYC area? I have this issue and I am not a DIY person at all.
Fort Walton Beach FL, I do take mail ins
@@FixedUntilBroken how do we contact you
And my odometer lights up ...but it doesn't mark the PRND123...it only marks the 1&2...but no milage...if someone can help me with that.. please.
I sent you an e-mail for cluster repair, Did you get it?
I need help my car is the same problem?
Replace both sides
Fixed??? The odometer didn't light up! 🙄
8:54 it clearly lit up when he turned on the power supply. It won't show the milage of the car because it's not connected to the car's computer. Until when it's plugged into the car, it won't show up. This isn't rocket science.
