Todays the day i finally finish rebuilding the wrecked Mclaren 720s that i bought from Amsterdam. But as soon as i take it for its first drive things started to go terribly wrong.

Love the design of the wheels not the white though, it looks a thought you have white wall tyres on it , shadow chrome may have worked better or change the white for more mint green could look time attack .

32:19 Nope on the wheels for me... maybe better with carbon surrounds then the white? Wish the fenders were painted body colour, and carbon wrap the roof and all other black bits. It's looking a little too pieced together currently.

Bold choice with the rims. Love the Color although the wings need some paint with carbon showing on the air aero ducts only.

I love the colour and the CT kit, my only thoughts around the wheels is that because of the outer surround, it almost makes them look too small for the car. I hope whatever is wrong with the engine is a simple fix as after all this work to have a knackered engine would be heartbreaking. Great video as always and I look forward to the next update👍🇬🇧

2. Don't like the carbon fenders. Should keep them standard or paint them and leave the vents with carbon exposed.
3. The wheels don't compliment the aggressive style. They look too small. A super car looks much more aggressive with bigger rims.

Definitely, if you must have the rings then make them match something. That said, the rings I don't like, but left as-is just ruins the look.

You should do the outer lip of the wheel rim in the body colour.
And also a body coloured strip across the wings from the front bumper to the doors.

Finally someone that painted a supercar in a bright color. FFs a supercar is an event, a toy, a attention grabber. Why super cars come in dark colors is like a funeral. Great color Mat!
sometimes dark colors look good, i think it depends on the car tbh, like I would never go for a subdued color on a lambo cause thats antithetical to what theyre for, but a ferrari in a dark blue would be awesome

In Germany we don't call the hood "Deckel", rather we call it Motorhaube, which roughly translates to engine hood, since a lot of German words are really descriptive. Deckel ist like for jars and buckets.

Not a fan of the color or wheels but love you and your Dad's joy at doing something you love. Love the car as well the carbon fiber was absolutely perfectly placed.
The car look so good. The only thing I would change is the grey bits around the wheels to be papaya spark orange to fit with the interior and create extra spark

Looks great!! I think you should paint the front fenders body color and leave the louvres carbon and paint the white on the wheels body color also. Great job. You practically built a McLaren like the factory does.

as a German i have to tell you that "Deckel" means lid as in the lid of the pickel jar and not the boned. The right word would be "Motorhaube" (direct translation engen lid). But as the Mclaren dosent have the engine in the front we would call it the "Kofferraumklappe" (Trunklid). hope this will better your german skills and love your Videos. keep up the work.

My personal preference would have been black wheels to complement the black detail of the body, but to each his own.

In rock and pop, it’s impossible to build a very large, popular support base without active or tacit support from a group called The Tavistock Institute (U.K.).

I knew this a few years ago but it’s only since 2020, that I’ve begun to appreciate that this role, which they themselves call “Social Engineering”, extends to absolutely everything to do, broadly, with “culture”.
So that includes the Hollywood studio system, most of TV, major radio channels, even theatre and sport. In fact, sports are hugely important.
They’re quite good at this, as you’d expect after 60+ years of doing it.

With the vents left carbon and the wheel trims painted mint instead of white
The original engine components I seen from others' blown Mclaren engines are designed to barely survive the stock tunings. So no surprise if the engine is blown if there is even a basic tune to it, and the accident impact itself may also already partially damaged the already barely holding it together engine.
I do hope it's some electrical issue that can be fixed, else the next best thing is if the engine block is ok then piston rod upgrade would be the most economical way to go.

Matt, I have been rebuilding and restoring a 1974 914 with all of the trials and tribulations you would expect of a 50 year old car but your work is just on another level! On top of that, the vids are fantastic. You have me thinking about Ca4bon panels re front trunk, rear trunk and roof panel…..more fun!

@@executiveinvestments I like exposed carbon to a certain extent but in this case cuts up the front of the car and makes it look shorter than it is. Again just because its the more expensive option doesn't mean it looks better. To you it does to others it doesn't.

Absolutely stunning, although in my opinion the fenders should not have been carbon, it looks odd, like looks out of place in some way to me, and the wheels does not fit at all, but each to our taste and it doesn't change the fact that this car as a whole is beautiful and can't believe how much work you guys put into this!
