There's a scanable on mars, a computer console that references 4 experimental rasputin weapons. Sleeper simulant, Valkrye, Hades flame and Aurora Knives. We know of sleeper and valkrye but what of Hades flame and the Aurora Knives? Are those 2 in the game somewhere also? There's a computer console right before you go up to Rasputin, it's next to a sleeper node, you can scan it twice and it says 2 different dialogues. Check it out

I havemt came across ot before and my clanmate couldnt do it but there is a keypad terminal on mars that you can interact with that had no end effect so maybe you have to find multiple terminals and all interact with them in a certain order

Yeah we need more shooting 45 (that you had to watch a TH-cam video to find all of them) discs and 8 hours of grinding for a semi decent gun.
Not the whole community.. I was unable to grab the DLC this time around. Im kinda upset with the fact I spent X on this game and now I cant do anything but shoot weapons I have had sitting in the vault for months and months, or pay more money and eventually get to the same point till I pay more in September. I understand I am a small percentage of the community also, and Im not being a dick if it sounds like I am.
I personally enjoy this dlc more than coo.
Definitely missed the secrets from the first game, glad to see it slowly coming back

Finally a decent length quest. Had some of these in D1, but been missing these in D2. Makes finally getting the reward so much more satisfying. Also, gives us a reason to 'do stuff' (i.e. encouragement to do patrols, strikes, EP, crucible, etc). More of these please Bungie!

Well, I dont know if this could possibly be anything related to the quest for the polaris lance, but in the secret room that has the Dynamo Coolant Ventilation, there is a little kiosk in the back of the room. At first, I thought it was something your ghost could scan, but when I scanned it, it did nothing and new music started playing. It might just be an easter egg but take it as you will
I think I saw someone say on reddit that this might be time gated to the reset for each step. Meaning 5 weeks for the quest which also corresponds with Escalation Protocol's 5 unique bosses.
Probably meaning one of the steps could be related, maybe requiring you to open the chest at the end to receive a special quest item once you have the step. Considering those key's aren't easy to get it would make sense to give people time to level up, get one and then be able to do the quest.
Though this is a lot of work for an Exotic that isn't all that powerful in comparison to others that are handed to you almost.

That would be my best bet, the summer event! Could find it sooner from a quest or something but I don't see why they have it classified if they are happy to show us full quests for polaris ect haha :)

The last symbol can be found on a monitor, next to where you open the third reactor in alton dynamo
Collect all ikelos weapons and then 2/5 drops. That makes sense to me because of the fact and emblem drops when you get the 1st ikelos weapon

Oh, we absolutely will have to wait 5 weeks for Polaris Lance. They did the same thing in coO with Saint 14's shotgun and that was just a legendary (albeit a really good legendary)
I wouldn’t be surprised at a 5 week weapon quest. We’ve seen it before with The First Curse quest needing to wait for gunsmith package reset, so a long wait is unfortunate but it happens.
I think it's based on the week, since the protocols rotate on a 5 week-base ( so 5 different bosses in total) it wouldn't surprise me if each week you can continue this quest line
I believe that it is a timely based thing as you said because when you turn in the first memory by Ana bray you are putting it in a server and it looks like there is a total of 5. So I’m gonna guess it’s gonna be that each week we will unlock a server.
Man i hope we can keep the legendary version....

Yeah the single steps also reward the braytech weapons so it would make sense that it's weekly, because in CoO the forge weapons also were somewhat weekly.
Big Worm well I get where you are coming from, but I do wonder what this magical content is that would make us log in from our own merit.
Well I do personally log in out of free will, so I'm not capable of completely understanding your position. But generally speaking the amount of companies only working for their personal gain has drastically increased and same happened in the video game industry. But I see no way of stopping it easily.
I'm so much happier with this Dlc better than Osiris it's definitely more like a D1 update with all the secrets and collectibles 😃

ah yes that makes sense, just like CoO forge, i was hoping it would appear on tuesday 6PM so if you dont complete N1 before then you will have to wait untill the following tuesday for N2 and so on
i agree on one per week, i have done every thing besides the raid and it seems that its just like the forge only one per week.

Try scanning that object in the tower again by the round table?
Do you think that the black spindle is connected to the keys? There's is one thing with a keyhole with keys around it and symbols in each, you can find these symbols on monitors around rasputin.

Just a heads up: as of the weekly reset an hour ago, the next step in the nascent dawn quest has just become available.
I just got the legendary version tonight from the second step in that 5 step quest. So maybe after step 5 is completed you get the exotic Polaris Lance?
Maybe the memory fragments have something to do with it. They all have a certain amount of days until divergence. Just a thought
what i want is the old set of class exclusive exotic weapons from ttk and a new set linked to the gunsmith since he doesn't have a huge role in anything

If you don't think Bungie would time-gate the Polaris Lance, remember that they did the same thing to the Sleeper Simulant in D1.
It could be weekly, maybe next week we get to do part 2 ect.

I wonder if you turn the legendary pulse rifle into an exotic one with several quests like that odd auto rifle, Necrochasm, from D1. That actually would be cool. Remember farming for that dumb thing to drop from powerful knights in one mission during the first season?
It's so nice to not know things, and a nice grindy quest, given the lower expectations of this DLC I'm pretty happy with this. Any news on getting teh catalysts done would be ace :)

I want the spindle, but with lunafaction boots, the rally barricade and other ways to restore ammo to weapons like snipers and rockets and whatnot, I feel like it'd be quite underwhelming
Do you know about the different terminals you can interact with where a concierge ai talks about Rasputin and different weapons? I found one on the was to Rasputin just outside the back of the futurescape by 2 acolytes, it talks about the Sleeper Simulant and other weapons.
While doing the Sleeper Nodes there's this one that said Dynamo.Coolant.Ventilation and it's in a hidden air vent that leads to a secret room. In the room there's the sleeper node and a screen that says "Interact" but when pushed does nothing. I don't think it's linked to this quest but I do think it does something secret... but I could be wrong too. Bungie likes hidden switches.
tridentseven693 activating the terminal causes one of the dynamo doors to open slightly & let you shoot the elemental doohickey towards earning exotic sword/sparrow.
Jessica Christian Haha thanks I figured that out while completing the quest. You can never tell with Bungie though. There were switches in Halo 2 outside the maps that drove people nuts for years. And another secret switch in Halo Reach that allowed you to pilot a Phantom or Pelican.
I think you're right in theorizing that it will be time gated. I'm betting both the Black Spindle and Polaris Lance will be, especially since the spindle was time gated in D1. Just Bungo's fail way of trying "extend" the content, but that's just a theory... A GAYME THEORY
XHOUDISHx I think it IS timed or you have to activate some terminals in order so far I only know three.

I haven’t herd anyone talk about the white items that drop when you shoot the elemental things that reward the exotic sword I have 2 so far that have days counting down in the text one started at 5 and is at 2 days now and the other is still sitting at 25 days remaining
Remember how the Escalation Protocol has 5 items over 5 weeks? It’s probably the same with these 5 quest steps

From all exotics they brought back I just wanted The Last Word
So you need to finished the sleepers quest first then u get the Polaris quest

I think you have to get all the Ana bray weapons ore what ever they called because there is an emblem witch tells you how many you have
