- Wild camping after pandemic break!
Past 3 months everyone realized how important is freedom for us!
Where you can feel free more than in the mountains, in the wilderness.
After the several months break because of this situation we are back on trails, with hiking and camping activities.
This time a 160 km road trip from our home city sent us to the Brod, a small village in south Kosovo.
From here we need to start our hike, today our plan for camp location is Rudoka Lake, in the Sharr Mountains.
I wanted to go camping there because I been there 2 years ago in September, it’s a beautiful location.
We need to hike about 10 to 11 km, with about 850 meters ascent. It's not so hard, but with all this gear in our backpack and after all this month’s break it’s not easy too.
Luckily Weather today was perfect for hiking.
At 2350 meters altitude the Rudoka lake is a perfect camp location which offers you almost a 360-degree view.
We set up our tents and enjoying the view, waiting for the sunset.

Fantastic walk in J.J. Really inspiring location to. I had a thought. Were their many Mosquitoes or midges as we call them here in the UK. It looked free of them up there. Great stuff. I've subscribed on account of the good vibes here. All the best. Mark
Thank you Mark, for subscription and comment, this part of Sharr Mountain is very similar with Lake District in the UK. Interesting this is my second time visiting this peak for camp, and any time for daily hiking, there are no Mosquitoes, and you can stay outside of the tent to enjoy the view. In other parts of Sharr Mountain yes we have Mosquitoes. More video is coming... JJ
