My top book so far this year is actually a tie, because I can’t decide between James by Percival Everett and A Suitable Boy by Vikram Seth (which it’s taken me years to get to). I’m glad to see Black Girl You Are Atlas on your list. I agree that it’s excellent and I’m sure it will be winning ALA youth awards next year.
I've finished 85 so far Best book The Witch's Heart by Genevieve Gornichec (standalone!) Best sequel A Restless Truth by Freya Marske New release A Botanicle Daughter by Noah Medlock New releases for 2nd half of the year "The Night Guest" by Hildur Knutsdottir "A Novel Love Story" by Ashley Poston "Fury of the Gods" by John Gwynne "Heavenly Tyrant" by Xiran Jay Zhao Biggest disappointment After World by Debbie Urbanski Biggest surprise -Snow Flower and the Secret Fan by Lisa See -No Gods No Monsters by Cadwell Turnbull Fictional crush Emily from "Taken by the Witch Queen" by Luna Fury Fav character Winter from Dragon Rider by Taran Matharu Made me cry The Witch's Heart by Genevieve Gornichec The Hidden Guardian by J.D.L Rosell Made me happy Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir Prettiest book The Midnight Girls by Alicia Jasinska
Wow we have a lot of the same favorites. Shark Teeth destroyed me. I had an arc of Blood at the Root and the Last Bloddcarver and really liked them both!
Best book I've read this year didn't even make it into my mid-year wrap because I just finished it, but "The Devil and Mrs. Davenport" by Paulette Kennedy is a perfect gothic novel and definitely stole the crown for best read so far.
My fav poly thruple is in Iron Widow by Xiran Jay Zhao (mmf ⚔️ 🌈 🌈) Next poly book I have is Magic Lies and Deadly pies by Misha Popp And there are several multi participant scenes in the Taken by the Witch Queen series by Luna Fury ((smut) all women, between 2 and 32 participants) þþ
Last Bloodcarver is AMAZING I think you’ll really appreciate the worldbuilding and magic!! Also found family vibes are ❤️❤️ dragonfruit is another super one
In 2022, a non-fiction book called Unmask Alice LSD, Satanic Panic, and the World's Most Notorious Imposter by Rick Emerson came out. I wondered if you had heard heard about this book. I thought of you when I heard about it recently because I know how much you hate that book. I have never read it, but I would read Unmask Alice b/c it is such a wild story.
Defininitely need to do this tag (on July 2nd). The part that is probably gonna kill me is the sequel and TBR questions. I rarely read sequels as it is, so this is gonna be interesting. (Gonna see if the Justina Ireland book is available at work though, I loved Dread Nation and its sequel and need to read her middle grades.)
In a Jam just didn't work for me; maybe if I did the audio vs. the e-book it might have. I did binge Nola Glass. *shrugs*; I admit like you I don't really fangirl and don't have crushes on fictional characters except maybe Loki lol.
@@BookishRealm I know, it's the warped part of me and even that is more mild interest. Tom Hiddleston is nice but yeah; never was a fan of stars as a teen and now... cannot be bothered.
With the amount of age groups and genres you read, i feel like how could you not be having multiple books for each??
Your videos are an automatic thumbs up as soon as I click on them! ❤ Always excellent content! 🎉
Thank you 😊
The audiobook for Louder Than Hunger is top notch! 5 star read and made me cry. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Best: The Book of Koli. Worst: anything to do with bar prep. Ug.
Amazing video!💜

The TBR question always gets me
