Have you put this ARB Air Locker on a Sprinter 3500 Dual Rear Wheels. I am planning on getting my 2011 3500 View Preview smart as dirt to be able to travel Forest Logging Roads with greater clearance for these rougher road.
Without going into too much detail, or more is even better..(ie rpm and mpg effects), what are the recommended tire size range for the 3.92, 4.18 and the 4.36 gear ratios you offer.
For most 4wd/AWD applications we recommend the 275/70/17. Max tire size you can go up to is a 285/75/17 but this will require trimming the front and rear fenders. Please keep in mind that we would need to know the van’s year and model to make sure that changing the gear ratio is an option!
Hey Paul, sorry for the late response! We have international shipping to Australia. We would love to get this issue squared away and get you that Locker! If you could email info@agileoffroad.com , we will get this resolved! Sorry for an inconvenience!
Will it work with the VB air suspension for the air source or will it need a separate air source? I have a Airstream Interstate 24x which is a Mercedes 3500 chassis.
Any pressurized air source can be used to actuate the locker. Assuming your VB suspension has an air tank, we should be able to use that for the Air locker.
Would be cool to see AO get a front locker aswell. Iglhaut in germany has one some how through witchcraft. Although only millionaires can afford the $95k price tag
Most 4x4 Sprinters don't have matching front and rear gear ratios to begin with. Both of our Sprinters (2019 & 2020) were equipped with 3.92 rear gears. The front differential is 4.20. Somehow (using witchcraft & fairy dust? lol) the transfer case is able to distribute power appropriately despite the difference in gear ratio. After this video was filmed, we changed the rear gear ratio in the 2020 Sprinter to 4.18. After reprogramming the computer with the corrected rear drive ratio we found the transfer case is still able to distribute power as intended. 2WD, 4x4 HIGH & 4x4 LOW function as expected!
@Oberranger We've been running the 4.18 rear gear swap in our van for the past 6000+ miles. No issues so far! 50/50 locking transfer case is being installed next week. No better way to learn how the system works tna good old fashioned R&D.
How about you make a carrier for wk2 grand Cherokee. They use Mercedes welded ring gear too and there's no one out there making one. We wanna be able to run lockers dammit lol
Can't wait! Getting my locker at the end of February! Looking forward to a visit to Santee.
Looking forward to this for the 3500.
This will be a game changer for my revel when I go off road.
ARB made in Australia. Excellent products.
Good stuff, and most 4 X 4 Sprinters should give this serious consideration.

Will there be a list of dealers or partners for Europe? Are these people getting trained by ARB too?
Greeeeetings ✌🏽

Try and get ARB in Australia to get one installed. It’s been 8 months and still no joy.

Will lockers work on new 2023 sprinter all wheel drive, do I need to change to lockers or just keep all wheel drive?

Hi Is there an ARB contact that you have down here in Australia. I have 2020 4x4 Sprinter and would like to have the Air locker installed.
Thanks
What would you suggest for T1N Sprinter.?
Question. Will this Locker work on Dully's 3500 or 4500?
Depending on small factors- it should work on the 3500! You can always call and talk with someone who can help further

How can 4x4 work if the front ring and pinion doesn't match the rear ratio?

What’s the cost of it installed?
About $5,000 if you need an onboard air kit as well!
