I was writing on another video, if rose had more games under his belt, this absolutely would’ve been utahs win, and they would be sitting at 13-1 or 12-2 by the end of the year. That Utah defense was ridiculous and gave byu fits all night. Utah has had a tough year, but I could definitely see that they are far better than their record shows.
Thanks brother, the D-line was so dominant I think you win out with Rose getting more reps and Wilson just need to slow cook for a year backing up and he’ll be a legend. God bless all of Utah!
For any of the people who think that the refs tipped the game in BYU’s favor: 1. The replay showing the hold on 4th & 10 was about the most clear and obvious hold I’ve ever witnessed - but should it have just been a no-call since it was so far away from the ball? Absolutely NOT because that hold completely obstructed a key receiver from getting open on a game-defining play. ALSO, Jake mentioned in his post-game interview that he saw the hold because he looked left at that receiver first and saw he was being held / not open. What adds to the credibility even more is that the ref who threw the flag was the S line ref who was positioned in the end zone behind Jake and seeing down the field the exact view that Jake could see, which probably made it extra clear how much that hold prevented BYU from a fair look. 2. The refs called TONS of stuff against BYU the entire game. 3. The face mask call on BYU right before the half was a HUGE incorrect call in favor of Utah - it looked like a face mask at full speed, but the slowed down replay showed extremely clear angles of Glasker not touching the helmet even a little bit. That call was a 25 yard difference for Utah that easily could have made the drive not result in a TD. Lucky Utes. 4. BYU should have gotten the chance to kick a field goal before the half, but the refs called the 10-second run-off ending the half. On the review though, it showed the offsides flag being thrown with the clock at 12 seconds, which means BYU should have had the chance to kick with 2 seconds left. Yes, BYU played sloppy and coaches made a ton of mistakes - but the refs made some critical errors that could have cost BYU the game.
Correction: With the ten second run off, by rule in College Football if there is one or two seconds left in the game/half after the runoff the half or game is called over. So yes there was two seconds, but by rule it was correctly called over.
@@andrewcurtis6240thanks for the correction. Didn’t know the rules allowed for a 10-second runoff to round up and erase the remaining seconds of the half. @@Crypt0rkid i mostly agree with the first part of what you said, but i don't think utah have a chance vs colorado. in the rivalry game with byu, it usually happens that utah is hyped up and overly aggressive, making their own luck against a byu team that isn't sure how to get quite as hyped up and aggressive, so i would say that in recent years anyway, utah overperforms or sometimes gets away with things vs byu. that same dynamic will not be in play vs colorado, and i think the scoreline might be ugly. it should have been vs byu. stats and analysis on balance of the year make me think byu should have won the game vs utah by 35-14, if not for the rivalry factor. i expect the colorado score to be something like that.
