10 Move Memoless - The Fastest Clock Method for Those Who Don't Care

- 10 Move Memoless is a newer clock method that utilizes simultaneous moves while not requiring any memorization, setting it apart from methods such as flip and 7simul. This is the first tutorial on TH-cam about this method, to my knowledge.
Made by me and the pakistani nr holder for squan, @Techcubes_
Original Document by the Goat @tetrawaffle337 : docs.google.com/document/d/1-...
Also Eddie Artze averages mid 4 with this method, so it definitely has potential. It's definitely not as good as 7simul or sheerin, however. - เกม
I managed to fit this with the pin order I use (UR DR UL U dr x2 UR DR UL U dr dl ul ur ALL) and improve it a little bit!
The 10 moves are the following:
1. UR: match U to L w/ UR, UL to L w/ UL
2. DR: match C to U w/ DR
3. UL: match C to R w/ UL
4. U: match C to D w/ UL or UR
Next put DL pin up while doing x2
5. Repeat step 1
6. Repeat step 2
7. UL: match C to R w/ UL & DR to D w/ UR
8. U: match C to D w/ UL or UR
9. dl: match UR to DL w/ UL or UR
10. \: match everything to 12 w/ UL & UR
Example from the scramble on the video 1. UR: +6 w/ UL & +1 w/ UR
2. DR: -5 w/ DR
3. UL: -2 w/ UL
4. U: -2 w/ UL or UR
DL up while doing x2 flip
5. UR: +2 w/ UR & -3 w/ UL
6. DL: +2 w/ DR
7. UL: +3 w/ UL & -1 w/ UR
8. U: +2 w/ UL or UR
9. dl: +6 w/ UL or UR
10. \: -2 w/ UL & -4 w/ UR
This adaptation has some improvements, such as on the first move for each face, you only have to look at 1 clock to which 2 clocks will move to, instead of moving 2 clocks to 2 different times. Also has an improvement for the flip, when you do the x2 you can start right away with the first simultaneous move
Thank you for sharing this method! I almost average the same as with regular flip on 2 days of practice, definitely switching to it :)
I'm making an advanced 10mm video, do you mind if I put this version of 10mm in my video? I'll give you ample and complete credit for originating this.
@@notmecubessure! no problem
@Mike_zb I alr released the advanced video...I'll make a 1 minute follow up going over your edit if it's fine with you
@@notmecubes alright :)
hi mike
10mm is just the Ortega of clock
yea
@notmecubes my pin order is DL UR UL U then I have ul down when doing x2 what would I do
@@Coolpink1271_Gaming If you switch to DL UR UL U dr, then everything in this tutorial can be copied, just mirrored.
@@notmecubes ok
1:47, there is a mistake in the video, i meant to say while DR pin is up.
th this video popped off =O
After about a year of using flip, I got to sub-11. I tried to learn 7-simul, but I could not successfully do it even though I do BLD all the time. I found this, and after 30 minutes of practicing it, I'm sub-15. I look forward to keep experimenting with this and hopefully get faster. Thanks for the tutorial!
Unbelievable, I avg around 9-10 seconds with optimised flip method. I'll try this method right away, let's see how it goes!
Wow, 10 millimeter is really cool!
real
Wow! This method works perfectly & is easy to use! I will use this from now on
thats an amazing tutorial! I understood it so fast wow. amazing job!!
I TOTALLY IMPROVED!! THANKS SO MUCH!!!
Great job! Clock is an amazing event to improve in!
woah no way its Daniel Guerra
Thank you so much for this tutorial it was very helpful
Eddie Artze is so cool
should i try this methob
no way its the squan opp parity ytwb holder and no longer uncrowned king
True
Thanks lol
no
Thank you! 👍
I’m learning this so that if I fail memorising for Tommy 7 simul I actually have a good alternative method
What would that be with the Pochman pin order DL UR UL L dr (or UR after the x2)?
I kind of get the gist of the method (especially after trying to wrap my head around 7-simul) but it's a bit hard to follow.
I'm serious about clock, as someone who mains the methods alyz, flip and optemized pochmann, I might add this to the list, looks good to use
Pure Flip is better
@@ninjaravioli i'll flip you
@@ClockSolver ok daddy
@@ninjaravioli ayo
Just use 7simul tho L
Woah this video is really good
tell that to the person who unliked this video after they saw it 💀
very good method !
So I have a really weird pin order for flip, It depends on lucky cases but I usually default to UR UL DL L, basically the same as what was mentioned but shifted by an F’ lol. What would you suggest for that?
On the first side, while doing the UL move to match u to r, match the UR corner with the right edge, to get your corner skip like so
On the second side again, while doing the UR move, match the DL corner to the D edge clock. Finally while doing the UL move to match u to r, match the UR corner with the right edge. Finally, finish solving the cross, use dr to match UL with DR, and then do a / move to finish the solve.
you here leaning clock before this weekend also?
@@nikolascarpenter lmao maybe 😅
Bro this is the method I needed
Glad you liked it!
Yess!!! Improvement in the near future. It's kinda unbelievable how much simul moves boost tps
damn this method is fun
Ikr simul moves my beloved
What skips would you prioritize? I've been preferring edge skips since corners are simul moves and should be fast anyway, and especially center skips bc that saves a D move
I would say you should especially prioritize edge skips such as c to u, as those eliminate d moves altogether. Also put complex skips in the front instead of the back. Some edge skip patterns require L moves and stuff such as that.
in my opinion the U and L edge skip and C and U edge skips is my favorite, but corner edge skips are good too.
I really like this method but due to my pin order which I am really used to, I can’t properly switch to this method.
Can you tell me how to execute this method if my pin order is:
DR
UR
R
L
U
DR UR UL (all except UR for alignment to 12)
I don't think it's possible, as you use every pin on the clock in your pin order. For 10mm, you need one of the pins to stay unused.
Wow this is a great method! What should I aim to average with this?
Sub 7 is very reasonable
Hi excuse me I'm new to the puzzle. May I ask is 7-simul the method being used by every single world class solver? Like all top 10 or top 25?
Pretty much every world class solver uses 7simul. Of course, there are exceptions to this rule (Jacob Chambers, Eryk Kasperek, Yunhao Lou, Caleb Trelford), but if you want to get good at this event, 7simul will make it much easier.
I recommend Tommy's 7simul.
8/top 10 use 7simul,
Yo cool!
my pin order is UR DR UL U . idk much about clock but i do want to learn this method. please tell me what i should do for this pin order
I would say there really isn't much to change. Your pin order is really just the pin order we used, just in a different order. You can match the UL clock to the L clock when you have the UR pin up on the first and second side, and you can match the DR clock to the D clock while you have the UL pin up on the second side. As long as you don't touch the DL pin at all when you are on the second side, you're good.
@@notmecubes thanks!
Wow
I'm a beginner to clock and learnt 10mm but no matter what I do, the cross at the back misaligned to the corners. Please help!
Same
This is usually because you're turning the DL dial on the second side, which you should not do
Been practicing this method after switching from beginners and now I average sub 14 from sub 22 but haven't even gotten a sub 10 single yet. Do you have any tips?
At your speed, the real advice is just practicing.
just work on recognition
after i did the solve, the cross on the back (white) was not at 12, how do i fix thie?
Hmmm, so did you match the corner skip?, if yes, then i would reccomend checking if you solved the UR corner on black to dl, then doing the \ and mathing up and down pins to 12.
go to 3:15
@@Techcubes_thansk
@@pulvurithms No probs =D
My pin order is DL UL UR U dr how would i force the first corner skip
You would just mirror all of the pin orders and steps. All the URs become ULs, all the DRs become DLs.
So you would match UR to R for the first corner skip, instead of UL to L.
mirror the pin order
when i finish the solve the cross on the back is not solved, why is this? i'm following the video exactly. and no, i'm not doing DL moves during the second face
You would have to send me a video of you doing the solve in order for me to know unfortunately
I had a problem like that too. It might be with the slice at the end. You have to move the unsolved corners to 12 o’clock and not to the rest of the dials
@@theaverageiron so at the end you turn the corners to 12 o'clock then do the slash?
Turn the unsolved corners to 12 and the turn the solved stuff to 12
Yoooo
my pin order is DL UL UR R ul so what should i do?
This pin order is definitely not compatible with the method, the reason for this being the fact that your pin order has to be able to not affect one of the corners. For example, the presented pin order doesn't use the DL dial or pin at all. However, your pin order uses all 4 dials. I would suggest switching to the DL, UR, UL, U pin order, in which case you would simply mirror all the moves shown in the video, so that DL becomes DR and UL becomes UR, and vice versa.
So if you wish, you can switch to a Mirror of this method, if you prefer starting with DL. the pin order would then be DL,UR,UL, U, dl . Then on back it would be the same, except you would do the other simul move with UR Is up, on the dl in. Reminder, your never going to touch the dr dial.
@@notmecubes Mirror the one in the video is an option tho
Hey! I use this order: UR DR UL U dr. What should I do in this method?
While you have the UR pin up, you can do the UL to L move, and while you have the UL pin up, you can do the DR to D move. Main thing is that on the second side you never have the DL pin up. feel free to ask if you need further clarification.
@@notmecubes did you mean match the UL dial to L dial?
Thanks for the effort.
@@sadmanmahfuzalam8786 Yes.
but what is the method called?
10 move memoless
I think i have it down
I align all of my clocks but the back side is 2 hours behind
hmm, so something to keep in mind during the second side is that you shouldn't have your DL pin up at all during any of the moves that you make.
if you use a different pin order that uses the dl pin, that may be a reason
@@notmecubes Thanks for that, I fixed it and now I am using the method.. from a 14 avg of 5 I went up to 22 but I think with some practice I can sub 10
@milt2 no problem! I'm going to make a follow up on how to do y2 and diagonal flips, with this method, so stay tuned!
@@notmecubesmake sure to include lucky cases as well!
I wanted to learn this but was too scared because the doc said don't use
7simul is definitely the best clock method if you are serious about clock. But if you're just doing it for fun, and don't want to take it too seriously, but still want to get decently fast, then this method is for you.
I use 7simul but I still want to learn this for fun
Learn it and be sub 10 ez
I got sub-8 with this in less than 50 solves lol. I average 6.5 now

What do i do if my pin order is DL UL UR R ur
Unfortunately you can't use that pin order with 10mm. I go over this more in the advanced tutorial, but in order for 10mm to work, you have to keep one pin down during your solve.
may I suggest the pin order DL UL UR U dr, which is pretty much the mirror of this tutorial!
@@notmecubes I actually started using this exact pin order couple of days ago
My pin order is very weird I do DL UL UR DR
Unfortunately that won't work for this method. I would suggest moving to a pin order such as that in the video. The reason that 10mm works at all is because, during a normal clock solve, you don't touch one of the dials. With my pin order, it is the DL dial. However, since with your pin order you use all of the dials, 10mm won't work.
same thing here :(
i do UR DR UL U/L dr
For 10mm, id reccomend trying to create a corner skip on DL, and a bar on C and D. Try mirroring everything but upside down. If this doesn't work efficiently, try the pin order in the video.
It should work the same if you only do U moves and switch away from L moves, and do dl instead of dr
While you have the UR pin up, you can do the UL to L move, and while you have the UL pin up, you can do the DR to D move. Main thing is that on the second side you never have the DL pin up.
Bro what the heck do you mean as "solve it as normal" this is a freaking tutorial I do NOT solve the clock the same way as you I just see whats the easyest clock to solve and I solve that one?!!
Sorry, this tutorial is for people who are familiar with clock alr, and are ideally sub 12 with clock and have a fixed pin order. This is, after all, an intermediate tutorial. I would say get familiar with the basic beginner method first.
@@notmecubes thanks but i am familliar to teh begginers method. I see what "clock" is better to solve and allign eveithing to that. But I saw you solve the clocks in a spessific order. I just wanted to understand that.
@rodrigoqteixeira top clock solvers usually have such a fixed pin order, which leads to easier lookahead. It's kind of the difference between using fmc techniques and using cfop in that regard. I highly recommend you switch to a fixed pin order.
@@notmecubes thank you ill keep solving the 7x7 i received yesterday night (christmas)

Guys, unless you’re lazy, don’t do this. Do 7simul or else explode. (Also 10mm being awesome made me burst out laughing.)
Completely missing the point. I don't want to learn 7simul, I don't want to memorize or do math during inspection for my least favorite side event, so this is literally perfect for someone like me
Frfr based opinion bro
the point of this method is speeed utilizing simul move without memo. my best avg with this method is a 6.8 so ye, its decent.
Anybody know what potential this has? Like, sub-8 max? Sub-6? Sub-5 or sub-4 even?
It has at least the potential of flip
