Is it just me but every time I buy old tools they alway have paint all over them. I think back in the day they just piled all there tools and painted over top of them😂

подошва рубанка проверяется на геометрию, только с установленным и зятянутым ножом и стружколомом, и далее следует выравние на стекле или поверочной плите до 3000 едениц абразива, с соблюдением 90 градусов боковых поверхностей. это не реставрация, а чистка и базовая заточка ножа, но респект за старания
