- This was a couple days before heading out to the Offroad Games. So the call came in for a broken sxs out below White Knuckle Hill on Behind The Rocks Trail. So I ran out there with Trailmater and carried it back to the main road and loaded it on the customer's trailer. Thank you everyone for watching and supporting us.

Seems like a lot of channels are over-producing their vids these days which is a little off-putting. Rory's vids are honest and real and way more entertaining for me.
Yeah I like that Rory's are more of a simpler "along for the ride" feel.
I couldn’t bear to watch any of the Offroad Games for the exact same reason.
Check out 23rd Garage Yuri doesn't add all the fluff and his commentary with his brothers and friends at their families body shop is hilarious. They are amazing at repairing vehicles and give many helpful pointers to other up and coming body repair people. VTuned is his younger bruther. Rory and crew keep me feening for a new upload because of wat you said its the raw content with their own brand of humor and especially helpful recovery tips
Don't watch them and no I'm not being rude to ya I understand what you are saying especially the ones trying to get more subscribers just by mentioning Rory or matt or someone else's name they don't impress me
Rory is still a recovery guy. The others are now boring content creators.
RORY-your videos are like a nether day at the office. We know your towing/recovery’s are technical, but you don’t do the TH-cam bullshit and make it look like an action movie. Thanks man.
In 2003 or so,I went off White Knuckle in a 76 full size Jeep Cherokee on 34's with 4" of lift. It was doable but interesting with no strap or winch. As I got off the obstacle, a modded CJ2 walked right up it un assisted. It was impressive to watch. It's nice to see they put in a byass to help keep people from tearing it all up by driving around.
Rory your driving skills are awesome! And another job well done!
What a blessing to work and live in such a beautiful place every day. Thank for sharing, Rory! Much appreciated.
Off-roading is a terrific combo of vision choices, and knowing how the rig you are driving actually handles dif obstacles! You can not be successful without both! I enjoy every recovery ride along!!
I am so happy that TM is still the to same standard that I have always liked since I found you on TH-cam. I am down to only 3 off road / recovery channels and you remain the first viewed every time. Thank you for keeping me educated and entertained so consistently. All the best to you and your entire team from Australia.
Just a guy huh you got that right. Your THE tow truck guy
Rory, thanks for taking the time to set up the cameras for trail shots. It's always good to see trail-mater at work.
Thank you for doing what you do
I will absolutely never tire of listening to all the sounds of Trail Mater... Every chain clank, squeak, tire chirp, and engine/exhaust purr is music to my ears. Glad it's warming up so we'll be able to see more of Mater in action. You rock, Rory! My favorite YT channel, hands down. 💜
I just freakin LOVE the respect that all you guys have for each other. Make friends, do work, make money, live life.
Badge on the glove box says "CUSTOM DELUXE". They had no idea how custom and deluxe when that thing rolled off the assembly line.
great job on doing it by your self
My lottery would be a day offroading and learning from you when I finally get my 73 K20 running this year.
Good morning Rory...love your channel.
Trail mater always a reliable and capable rig Especially with Rory behind the wheel , Old blue is great looking also ,they both have there strong points but my favorite would be trail mater
Since I’ve been watching your channel and I live in Louisiana, I’ve never seen this kind of beautiful scenery in my life! I’d love to visit and see it one time before I can’t do anything because I’m 64 ! Those rocks and cliffs are amazing! Nuff said, I think when you’re driving on those types of landscapes! I’ve seen too many that brag but are too inexperienced! I’m not here to say any names but I figure you know who I’m referring to! I’m excited to see the wrecker yall are building for Robby, he thinks his wrecker “King Fred” is something! But that one yall building is going look awesome! Thanks for sharing Rory!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
HEY! Good morning Rory , Mike and Shawn!
It is amazing the clarity of thought that one experiences in the purposeful solitude of moments like this.
Thanks for sharing 😀👍
You're vids never cease to just make my day better and makes me even more excited to hopefully see these beautiful trails in person one day! Trail etiquette folks cmon dont be D-bags and ruin it for the rest of us who haven't been yet!
Nice shout out to your fellow 24 hours to hell and back competitors and fellow youtubers.
Rory your a hell of a guy and save with your crew!
Great recovery.
Always like watching your videos! Keep up the great content!
Another great video by the best off-road recovery team in the industry!
amazing !
Great video
Classic video, needed that!
Great work
Top bloke Rory!
a man and his "Mater" awesome content as usual
I'm not sure if taking a road trip just to get stuck in various parts of Utah just to meet some of my favorite humans is the best of plans but be on the lookout Rory and then Matt
Man the camera view at 5:00 really makes the truck look tall. I never new how tall Trail Mater actually is...
Good luck Trail mater..... i seen a whole lot of jeeps heading your way from my work today 😅
Your chains that hold boom came loose about 14:40
Trailmater!!!
Awesome recovery, can’t wait too see you Nebraska with laura doing a recovery 😮
I know people keep saying this .. could you not make you some cross bars to a rzr back instead of using the rope? You could make them so they could fold up on their self and mount them to your boom so you would have some when you needed em but they would be up out of the way when you didn't need em..
❤
Nice callback to the early days of the channel, just Rory and TrailMater doing what they do best!
I was thinking the same and came to post my comment
It didn't hit me until right around 1:45, but yeah this is good stuff. I like the other trucks, but this truck just has more character. Looking forward to Trail Mater and the boys this season. Hilarity will ensue.
I really enjoyed this.
Agreed! These are some of my favorites, just Rory and Trail Mater doing what they do.
I was thinking the same thing. 😊😊😊😊😊😊
Rory, thank you for doing the extra work of filming on this recovery for our entertainment benefit. One of the many reasons you are so well liked and respected. God bless you sir
Happily camped at Willow Springs with our family along comes this guy with a 200000 dollar truck towing a 200000 dollar trailer and wedges himself in too close to us backing over bushes and a small tree.He jumps out grabs a 200 dollar generator with a briggs and straton says nothing to us all sitting there in chairs quietly and puts the generator behind his trailer between us and him fires it up and whatever he's running its going full tilt.Out of the trailer comes a 30000 side by side with another 20 in modifications led antennas trump flag the works. He Takes off he's gone for an hour here comes Rory with old blue towing him it's missing the right front wheel Rory shoves him back in the trailer we meet Rory the guy packs his crap up and leaves.Disaster averted Karmas awesome .Rory's great he delivers jerkoffs like this back to their trailers quickly so they can leave Moab immediately.
What I love most about Rory is the honesty and integrity he shows. There's no bullsxxt, no exaggeration, really love this channel. . .and, he does this awesome stuff on his own!! That's not a simple country drive, it's some serious rugged terrain. On his own, nobody to help! He break, he fix. And didn't him and Laura do real well at the games🤩🤗 Rory, you are the best👏
I was super impressed by Laura. She fit in perfectly with the guys from Moab. I am looking forward to watching her rebuild the JD tractor they are working on now.
100% on both of these 😊
on his own, with a drink in one hand. 😂
Rory, "It never looks bad on camera,"
Me, "You're going over WHAT"😂
I'm just really impressed with the way you've warmed to this whole TH-cam world without getting too bouncy or losing your personality.
I reckon most of you didn't know how much the world loves this stuff and you're setting a great example for everyone.
Thanks for taking us along for the ride.
Another "old-fashioned" salvage. This never gets old. Great job.👍
Sometimes a nice quiet recover is enjoyable and even relaxing.
Thanks Rory for taking us along.
Good to see a recovery vid again after so long. Thanks for no crappy music.
Rory and Trailmater doing what they do.
Just like when I first started watching this channel -- some engine noise, a couple of chains clanking, a few rattles, and Rory and Trailmater and gorgeous scenery. Nothin' better. Thanks for the ride.
Finally a recovery video! Man Moab was *quiet* at the beginning of March. But popping off now. Was so stoked to see TM and Blue on the highway returning from the games.
Rory, the DNA of your channel. Please don’t be too tempted by shiny things like some of the others.
You mean like Matt? And now Paul is starting the same crap too.
@@tyendor1952yep, unsubscribed to Matt and close to doing the same with Paul.
Like the constant trolling for comments, and pushing their merch... and in between the sales pitches for whatever the current sponsor might be? I'm with you guys. I haven't dropped Matt or FabRats yet.... but it's only a matter of time. They've become too much like TV, which I left behind back in 2012 as worthless.
@@BobbieJeanMI dropped Matt last year, and then Paul after they kicked his brother to the curb. Robby is next; 1/2 his videos are infomercials anymore. 🤮
@@arlisspropertyservicesllc5943 Robby was the first to go for me. The second he got exposure he got the 'TH-camr voice' and was trying too hard.
Mater back to doin Mater thangs!🎉 and Rory.. being Rory❤
Good job getting the shot by yourself Rory awesome camera angles
Amazing production value!
WOW... seeing Trailmater descend White Knuckle from that perspective 🙂 Thanks for Sharing 🙂
If Rory is just a guy, Trail Mater is just a tow truck. NO to both. Rory is a guy that knows the right stuff, and Trail Mater is a tow truck Rory can drive to do the right stuff.
Brings back memories of your early solo years, but with better camera equipment.
Rory, you are the master of the subtle bump. No spinning, jumping, bucking, and breaking, just an almost imperceptible bump. Love it!
Also love to hear that big block working hard at 200-500rpm. Very few have that much clutch control. Bravo!
I too love the forward cab wrecker. Cab overs give the best visibility on the trail.
You always say "Thanks for watching." So I say, thanks for sharing! ! !
Your respect for the landscape is certainly consistent. Nice of them to make a proper bypass for that obstacle to keep them from destroying the native plants
`Thanks for taking the extra time to set up some camera shots for us.
Love that you explain the PSA in a way that was not condensing but still informative and did get your point across.
4:18 That doesn't look too bad. I could drop down that in my Toyota Corolla (once).
It potentially could maybe briefly become Slightly Violent, like a little Category Five Tornado thru the Trailer Park on a Sunday Morning type of Violent😅. You’ll be Fine, what could possibly go wrong?😂
Imagine that. Another SxS with broken IFS.
Classic Trailmater Video but includes Rory sharing some thoughts
Just like the classic Rory!
EVERY time I watch, I smile as Rory proves the myth about "Automatics are the best" and "can't do this with a clutch".
Rory ROCKS!
#trailmater and Rory! Been subscribed since trail mater took a flip over! You're the best TH-camr💥It's super awesome hearing people screaming for you and seeing your subscribers climb. They feel the same. You're appreciated💚❣️
Man for a solo run this was filmed pretty dang good. This video reminds of years back when it was just you on lots of rescues .
If you've ever tried to weld on a UTV you will find the frames are the thinnest they could possibly make them. I'm betting a few more years and you will start recovering them with rusted through frames.
Rory, thanks for taking the time to setup the multiple cameras. This kind of self-shot video really makes it feel like a more amateur production, which is a good thing. It makes it seem more authentic.
The brilliance of this channel is its simplicity. You don't over complicate things. The video of you pulling the SxS up the hill and watching the truck work was perfectly satisfying, from seeing the rigging work and hearing the chains make noise to you using your machine for its purpose. It's like watching a camp fire.
You can do really cool things with fancy production, but I think most are here just to enjoy the view, watch the trucks work and laugh with your team. Don't stop being you.
I love seeing Trail Mater it seems to be a long time. Thank you, Rory. Also good for you a thoughtful boss.
Great recovery. I am always impressed with your ability to pick your lines with the customers vehicle being the priority. It was a good shot of the crossed straps to hold the vehicle in place. It works exactly the way you have explained before. Thanks for sharing
Always nice to see a good trailmater video
Have you ever noticed--Rory is so good with the clutch and keeping low RPM that at times it sounds like Trailmater has a govenor on the engine. Love the exaust sound, God Bless Rory and his.
I am so glad to see "Trailmater" again, miss seeing that awesome machine in action. Thank you for the video as always .
Back to basics, just Rory and Trailmater that’s all we really need
A broken A arm and torn axle. Just like any other outdoor hobby, fun can get expensive. But you wouldn't ever give it up. Thanks to Rory to help when things go sideways. Your ride-a-longs are informative and the scenery is awesome.
It's nice to see you back doing what you do best, just you the camera and the truck, it could only be improved by her highness Lilly :) :)
A refreshing bit of film.
Rory, Trailmater, physics, and panoramic views.
Felt like I found an old upload that had eluded me until today.
These are the best. Enjoying the solitude of the vast wilderness with one of the few masters of it.
Thanks for your work!😊
Mayor of Moab…. Back to basics. Good to see. Just wanted to say you were very gracious thanking the fans at the Off-road games. Also enjoyed you blowing a gasket when Mike opened the radiator cap during practice (glad no one got scalded), shows your a regular guy like us….. but with crazy off-road skilz.
I like Mike, but opening the cap was the dumbest thing I have seen him do on video. That pressurized water has a higher boiling point than water at normal pressure. Leaving the cap on and letting the cooling system work was what was needed.
@@Fix_It_Again_Tony
Maybe it’s been a while since he did something stupid, I think he just needed a new injury 🤣
❤️🇷🇴
Back to basics always good, beautiful camera placement. #trailmater sounds amazing, tires squeaking over rocks and all!
Good to see you in a video back doing your thing. I love the Peck brothers channel! They do some crazy awesome builds.
A Train Conductor….. Rory , you Make things Seem as if There on Rails…. Going where you want them..
As if you had a Conversation and your Towed Vehicle knows where it is Supposed to be… Always Nice when a Plan comes together..
Great to see Trailmater and Rory out doing their favorite things in spectacular scenery.
Rory can do it all: wrench, recovery, AND video, all at the same time. Trailmater is the Swiss Army knife of recovery. Thank you.
Very nice very therapeutic just a man and his truck out on a nice slow crawl Sunday drive and help somebody out in the meantime. I miss those days.
Nice recovery with beautiful scenery. Relaxing video for the morning.
Very impressed with the video shooting and different points of view from the cameras laid around. Great work Rory.
Nice solo recovery Rory...Great weather, awsome scenery...what is there not to like...
Thx
Great video. Takes me back to the old days when it was just Rory and TrailMater. Thanks from 🇨🇦
Thanks for explaining how to tow that, way different than towing a trailer. That's what makes you truck drivers so smart. 👍
Your experience is making it look easy. Good job !
man, this really is an old school Trail Mater video. love to see it
Wow, it's amazing how hard all the trails have become in the Moab area! Int he 1980's - early 1990's we used to climb Pritchett, Yellow Hill, through Hunter Canyon and over White Knuckle in a day. We had 33" tires, Detroit Lockers in both ends and we would all make it and be out by sunset. A few years later I went over there on my dirt bike and it was not climbed by anyone that I saw. Of course , coils were just gaining traction, and buggies were rare. In those days you could do about anything including Steel Bender, both ways on 33" tires. Fun times, before 40" tires! I'm glad I got to enjoy it, the way things were. 😁
Erosion will do that. You might have seen a stock '66 Bronco with a homemade camper cap and a green rustoleum brush job in June of 1988. Young and stupid with out a roll bar.
@@brucehalleran1149 , sure will and huge tires spinning, LOL. I probably did see you! There weren't a million of us back then. Mountain bikes were new then. Back then you could camp int he willows on the river for free! We were a good sized Scout club. Set up, big engines and lots of fun.
Thanks, Rory it was fun to see you out in your element doing a recovery buy your self don't get me wrong I love it when the guys are with you but was fun to see you doing it solo thanks for taking use along
Nice to get away and do a recovery alone and enjoy the scenery and that beautiful blue sky! And the recovery is just part of the job!
Pretty cool Sunday drive. Getting them out old school. Thanks for the extra camera work. It's tough when you are the only one and there's work to do.
Rory you make most recoveries look easy, and with your expertise maby they are to you. You say that some of those trails look easier than they are and then make them look like a cake walk. With a bit of 4 wheeling history I see some trails that would have made me take the bypass very quickly. keep doing what you do love every show.
The ability to multitask while, offroading/rock crawling, getting the footage, as well as ALSO having the capacity in reserve to watch be able to watch and give a shoutout to the Peck Brothers and their build, oh and, by the way, not to mention, while ALSO doing a recovery, all by your lonesome, can never ever, be minimized, or ever referred to as simply, "just a guy and his offroad tow truck! Sarcasm be damned!!!
You do great by your self, it’s all fun. Thanks.
