The end of the video, where it's filmed from the last seat looking back, really makes me smile. I grew up next to the Efteling and have many fond memories of the old woodie that was there. In order to make things a bit more exciting for myself I used to sit on the last row, looking back all the time. Seeing the view on the Python there really brought that memory back.
DatDutchman Pegasus was nothing special and it was from a different generation of woodies. When it was build there weren't many woodies being build in general. GCI has covered some amazing ground in the past 10 year. I'm absolutely delighted that woodies are almost as popular as steel coasters these days
Went there yesterday! I really LOVED that ride! At first I wondered how they could replace the former wooden coaster Pegasus, but this one is 1000 times better. And I think the concept of the battle and the great music adds to the experience. Wow...!
the absolute best twin coaster footage that I have ever seen. I have said it time and time again, Robb Alvey is my ideal date. Imagine the conversations you could have with this man? Endless entertainment and a track record that compares to no one else. He never responds to my comments though? Someone told me that he had pieces of the actual wood from one of his all time favorite coasters tattooed into his skin! Now that is impressive.
will you guys be back in De Efteling when the divecoaster is finished? And if you are there, please make a POV of the Flying Dutchman (Vliegende Hollander).
@RCT3rox the reason they did that is to build up the excitement. you bank outside and inside a few times before the finish so you see the other train, and then you don't. weird enough it doesn't hurt or feels uncomfortable banking outside of the turn
One reason to come to our beautiful country is not for weed but for our lovely rollercoasters in Walibi Holland and the Efteling :) You will be amazed about the amount of exciting rollercoasters we have in this small country.
@gyqz When I was there, sometimes water won and sometimes fire. However, like I see in the vid was the coaster not fully done yet (theming). In that period they were still searching for the right weight of the cars.
@sclissowv no not always, it depends on the weights in both tracks, how many heavier weights in the coaster-train,how faster it rides to the finish. i went this ride on 16th september 2011 and took "Fire" and won twice in a row.
I really love this coaster. Especially fire. But the same company that build this one made the Wodan in Europa Park. That's the best woody I have ever been on.
So, that's Joris en de Draak, the best coaster I've ever been on. I've only been to Phantasialand, Walibi Belgium, Walibi Holland, Duinrell, Disneyland California and Efteling though. Time to go visit some more parks. What do you people think? Europapark or Bobbejaanland? Both look really nice. Anyway, B&M are going to build a new divecoaster for Efteling, opens in 2015. Can't wait til that opens!
Looks like a pretty fun ride! Doesnt need to be super huge fast and crazy to be good! Hell doesnt even need to be 100 feet high in this case! All those little hills and dips must produce sweet airtime and I love that triple hill thing after the drop!
Fun ride. And like everything in the Efteling. It looked beautiful. I assume that there are many people that will not agree with me. But I have been to Disney World in Florida. And personally I thought it could not compete with the Efteling.
Deze achtbaan is echt heel leuk! Zo ziet het er een beetje saai uit alleen als k erin zit egt super leuk , k ga volgende week weer want ik woon er dicht in de buurt nu heb k er nogmeer in in :))!!
That seems so much faster than 45 mph on the first footage of the ride, it must just be me. And how many times did you ride this coaster, I think you have every possiable angle filmed here. LOL
@ruben12268 I'm going over in about a month, so maybe it will be fiished. (Mind you : I can tell right now that whatever track i'm on...I will lose! Like always standing in the wrong queue at the checkout)
@t00x11k I've been there once when i was young, man i want to go back there and ride the silverstar, couldnt get on that one cause i was just a kid back then:(
Omg same. That’s kinda why I‘m here rn lol. I was on this when I was 10 and I hated it so much. tomorrow, I‘m planning to to go to Efteling with my friends. I‘m not a big fan of roller coasters but I‘m not sure if I should go on this again.
no the efteling because no building is right and have breaks in the walls. and if you look up in googel efteling entrance you see the most special entrance in the world
haha she said great roller coaster but if you look at the video it looks rather dull. But when you are actually on it then it is really great. But I am glad that you can understand all the Dutch insults perfectly because I was not going to translate those haha
Yup! Dont forget CCI, GCI and Gravity Group! All of which produced/produce superior wooden coasters. Honestly, some newer Vekomas are smoother but the damage to their rep is unfixable. Shame is some of their coasters look cool but they are all torture devices! At least their coasters are not as awkwardly designed as Arrow! They may be the only company worse, though have done more famous things
Phantasialand is so loveless compared to Efterling. I have never seen a more beautiful, lovingly made, consistent theme park than Efteling. Phantasialand is such a huge disappointment in comparison. Just ride after ride with no proper consistent theme, almost zero attractions suitable for small children or those who do not want to go on rollercoasters and the like, nothing to just look at and experience, of which Efteling as so much.
Phantasialand has got better rides and better theming.I can understand if you prefer Efteling,it's more familyfriendly, but to call Phantasialand loveless is literally the dumbest thing i've ever heard. To be honest,in my opinion the whole Klugheim area destroys every single ride at Efteling. And not to mention,Phantasialand has got a whole area for kids in their Fantasy area,as well as different rides throughout the park that also children can ride.
no its the theme park review team that making fun i even tried but if you ride into the station and you lose you get booed if you win flags of your color will come down and you will hear trumpets :D

I have never actually been on Pegasus because I was too scared when it was still there. Compared to Joris en de Draak it looks really dull though

GCI has covered some amazing ground in the past 10 year. I'm absolutely delighted that woodies are almost as popular as steel coasters these days
I was going up and down in my seat for the airtime moments. What a great looking ride!
The wait times were stupid short today!! This one was only 10 minutes for the entire day! And baron was 5 for most of the day!! Very lucky indeed
I've had 0 multiple times
Baron is always like 20 minutes minimum for me
Went there yesterday! I really LOVED that ride! At first I wondered how they could replace the former wooden coaster Pegasus, but this one is 1000 times better. And I think the concept of the battle and the great music adds to the experience. Wow...!
tpmm1 Pegasus doesn’t even look that rough, idk why they removed it. There is only one rough snap
@@wegpiraatjochem Ah whatever. This one is much better
I love how much personality wooden coasters have, especially the great ones! And this one certainly qualifies at great!
this one of the best rides in Netherland. but it is also one of the rides with the longest waiting lines :-D
That's funny everytime i go in here the longest time to wait is half an hour.
*the Netherlands niet Netherland
Netherlands*
Michiel Smetsers Nee je zegt in 'in the Netherlands' niet 'in Netherlands'.
Ben jij hoogbegaaft ofzo?
Happily waited an hour and a half yesterday to ride both sides... Such a fun coaster, and it's so much faster than you think it's going to be! ;)
Some of the best coaster footage I have seen yet!
In The Efteling you dont feel its all about the money. in walt disney you do

I rode this one last Saturday. Because of the many short turns and climbing/coming down you get the real roller coaster feeling.
Love it. Great ride.
will you guys be back in De Efteling when the divecoaster is finished? And if you are there, please make a POV of the Flying Dutchman (Vliegende Hollander).
Die hebben ze toch al?
Nee
Awesomest ride in the Netherlands: the theme, music, airtime and speed, love it! Fire is my fav :D
We are so lucky here in the Netherlands with this ride. We are so lucky with the Efteling in our country :D
@RCT3rox the reason they did that is to build up the excitement. you bank outside and inside a few times before the finish so you see the other train, and then you don't. weird enough it doesn't hurt or feels uncomfortable banking outside of the turn

0:28 fight against the dragon, and against eachother in this race-rollercoaster
Martijn Mols yep

i went this ride on 16th september 2011 and took "Fire" and won twice in a row.
I waited in line for this for 2 hours once
wasn't worth it
it was still great though
bean oh it’s only 20 minutes most of the times
You went on the wrong busy day
I really love this coaster. Especially fire. But the same company that build this one made the Wodan in Europa Park. That's the best woody I have ever been on.

bobbejaanland is REALY fun!!
Next time you should get a POV of De Vliegende Hollander and Vogel Rok.
Looks like a pretty fun ride!
Doesnt need to be super huge fast and crazy to be good!

All those little hills and dips must produce sweet airtime and I love that triple hill thing after the drop!
Its an crazy airtime machine
@Jooaannnee Great!! I'm so looking forward going on that ride! Thanx for your response!
Really cool coaster, thanks for sharing
Fun ride. And like everything in the Efteling. It looked beautiful. I assume that there are many people that will not agree with me. But I have been to Disney World in Florida. And personally I thought it could not compete with the Efteling.
Now thats what i call a COOL coaster!
My favorite wooden coaster. Easy.
Ever heard of el toro?
@@Blauwedakpan no.
88Meava88 its the best traditional wooden coaster and the best overall wooden coaster is lighting rod
88Meava88 search them
El toro is so high. Omg. The highest coaster ive been in is 46.5 meter. And that was something.
This is a brilliant ride, especially at the back of fire as the dragon soaks you, always my 2nd favourite. Python will always be first.
Alex Jones this coaster is not a vekoma coaster, great coasters international is the builder of this coaster.
I've been there in August 22. So cool!
Vekoma is based in the Netherlands. I think that's what he meant, by "the only good (coaster company in the Netherlands, implied).
the efteling has the best themed attracions of the world
was in here yesterday , the coaste itself didtnt look really fast . than when i was riding it , i was like WTF??? :) love it
I think its pretty hard to don't laugh or scream in one of the rollercoasters in the efteling
Alaeriia didn't say Vekoma built this, they were replying to someone saying that Vekoma is the best company.
It's The BEST wooden rollercoasters from the Netherland and the Benelux!!!
Lol not even close to 47 mph. Looks much faster like in 50 or 60 mph territory :D One of the coolest GCI woodies I've seen :)
Deze achtbaan is echt heel leuk! Zo ziet het er een beetje saai uit alleen als k erin zit egt super leuk , k ga volgende week weer want ik woon er dicht in de buurt nu heb k er nogmeer in in :))!!
Looks very smooth.
i have ride this coaster to and he is 1 of the best wooden coasters in europa my number 1 wooden coaster
That seems so much faster than 45 mph on the first footage of the ride, it must just be me. And how many times did you ride this coaster, I think you have every possiable angle filmed here. LOL
at 2:05 what does that feel like? I mean - you bank outside of the turn
that looks so smooth!!
Bet it isn't anymore! Ouch
@sclissowv When I went, fire kept winning over and over........I think it's kinda buggy. But what a great ride!!!!
Well i went there 10yrs ago and i remeber a wooden rollercoaster
amazing racing coaster
i screamed like hell in this one xD it was so much fun :D
and he's FAST :| just like: WTF :O
lol you guys are so funny :P
Good old days, when dragon Edna was still operational.
OMG he has to go back to the efteling because he haven't filmed the awesome ride The Flying Dutchman!
Yeah i know, i said that i want to go back to europa park to go on the silver star;) I go to the efteling like twice a year at least:P
Does the water side always win?
sorry dude, but the silverstar is not in the Efteling it's in Europapark I think
@HBvideoproductions waar woon je dan precies in Kaatsheuvel?
in our family it's a tradition that we go to the Efteling every year
Wow me to, past year we didn't Cruz my mom turns 50 next week and then we go a full weekend to bosrijk :D
+Lars Games waarom praten nederlanders engels tegen elkaar
good point
@kylebustamnte They've been there many times.
Nooo, you get me wrong, i mean i want to get back to europapark! I go to efteling twice a year!:P
@ruben12268 I'm going over in about a month, so maybe it will be fiished. (Mind you : I can tell right now that whatever track i'm on...I will lose! Like always standing in the wrong queue at the checkout)
Finally a wooden coaster wich is fast to go up!
Water side is more twisty.
geweldig filmpje respect voor de maker mijn filpje van deze achtbaan is lang niet zo mooi
They should make Racing Coasters Mandatory at all parks
I went in it, omg... it was so fun...
Well, I guess you mean the Python ( Look voor vids on youtube ) Because Silverstar is in Europapark
The first drop is MUCH bigger than you think
i want to go to netherlands for roller coasters
really cool roller coaster even just to sit and look at run its course x3
this is a verry good wooden roller coaster
@t00x11k I've been there once when i was young, man i want to go back there and ride the silverstar, couldnt get on that one cause i was just a kid back then:(
good or bad way?
is ist smooth?
Het duurt niet lang meer voor dat teze filmpje niet meer klopt door bouw divecoaster hoogmoed!
is that a Mobius loop?
Nope. 2 seperated tracks.
*****
A mobius can also be a racer. Check Grand National in Blackpool. ;) But it's a non-mobius racer.
it's a gci wooden racer.
BAD AT ROLERCOASTERS?!
WE BUILD THE ONE OF THE EXTREME ROLERCOASTERS!
I've been on this and I've regretted it ever since
Omg same. That’s kinda why I‘m here rn lol. I was on this when I was 10 and I hated it so much. tomorrow, I‘m planning to to go to Efteling with my friends. I‘m not a big fan of roller coasters but I‘m not sure if I should go on this again.
it feels, and it looks, a helluva lot faster than it really is :p
no the efteling because no building is right and have breaks in the walls.
and if you look up in googel efteling entrance you see the most special entrance in the world
@t00x11k LOL, ill tell ya, the efteling is the best amusement park ever and i only live about 10 miles away from it:D
One of The greatest things i ever did.
Die Gaat te snel ! :)
Maar hij is wel zalig !
haha she said great roller coaster but if you look at the video it looks rather dull. But when you are actually on it then it is really great. But I am glad that you can understand all the Dutch insults perfectly because I was not going to translate those haha
not anymore, the new coasters are much more comfortable
@rjn4250 No, Great Coasters International build this one ;)
@t00x11k You should! xD (dont do it at the same time.. That will actually blow your mind)
They only say heeeeeeeey in the coaster DAFUQ?
het is beter dan je denkt
Yup! Dont forget CCI, GCI and Gravity Group! All of which produced/produce superior wooden coasters.

thumbs up if you live in holland and it's only 20 minutes driving TO THIS FUCKING PARK! OWWWWWWW YEEAAAAAAAH!!!!... i like this coaster
I can imagine the g force on this ride ;DD
toen ik er in wilde had hij net een storing -_-
wierd name, looks like a great ride though :)

Theres a plan of an b&m flying ckaster in the efteling.
Ik ben een onbekende banaan dus doei. What’s wrong with your spelling?

Haha ja weet ik. Maar geef toe, JedD is wel leuk!
For everyone who ask him/herself: should I go in there? I highly recommand it.
no its the theme park review team that making fun i even tried
but if you ride into the station and you lose you get booed
if you win flags of your color will come down and you will hear trumpets :D
wierd name, cool ride
@coasterkid21 Interesting...
doesn't help that it's full of typos too xD
I went out that 10 yrs ago funnn
"point to the winners!!! Point to the losers!!!"
