- Here is my skincare routine for 2015! I'll show you what I do start to finish to take care of my skin. You all know how picky I am about skincare products, so hopefully this video helps inform you on the types of products I use and why I use them for my skin.

These are the products that I use every day and cant live without. Keep in mind, I will use exfoliators, masks and also ad the Blissful Body face oil to my foundation often! But basically I am head over heals for Sanitas and i'm constantly trying more of their products!

I don't understand why people are complaining that Jaclyn's routine isn't tailored to them, their price range, etc. People asked for HER routine and that's exactly what this is. Plus, skin is so finicky to begin with. What is she supposed to do, completely change her routine, that works and was tailored to her needs, so people stop guilt tripping her about prices?
If her videos are so unrelatable and outrageous to you, maybe consider looking up other TH-camrs who may have more useful info for you. Yeah, her viewers and fans are important to her, but this is her body and her skin. She is entitled to using whatever products she needs and paying whatever amount she's comfortable with. This has been a rant.

I was trying to watch It at like 3am haha and have not had a chance to rewatch... This is so beyond accurate it's ridiculous. She's said a few times she didn't want to make this video because she knew it would be a big deal to some about the cost for the products she uses. But clearly they freakin work! Her skin looks awesome 99% percent of the time & that's why people asked for her skincare routine in the first place. She can't make everyone happy I guess, since when she gives her subscribers her MOST REQUESTED video they aren't happy. What does everyone expect her to do?! Pretend to use cheap products then when they don't work people be upset too. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Smh
People are just angry because they were hoping she'd use products that they could just run out to the store and buy. They want it to be easily attainable and instant. It's ridiculous to me what women on TH-cam will tear down other women over. Not everything in life is affordable for everyone, get over it. You can't expect her to use products that don't work well for her just because all two million if her subscribers can afford them. This video was honest and informative and I expected nothing less.

+My Green Gypsy It's not a good idea to buy these products without consulting an esthetician first. Pharmaceutical skin care must be 'prescribed' because the products are very strong and can cause damage if they are not used properly- that is why they are not available to the public.

What's with all the hate??? 90% of us wanted this... now bc it's not in your budget your mad?? if you can't afford it then find something you can afford. I see a lot of people saying "Oily skin sucks! I wish I had dry skin". I used to think that way too when I was younger. However, I'm currently 36 & I still get ID'ed. There is no better anti aging product than oily skin. I am SOOO thankful that I have it.

I've been asking the same thing for eons! A tutorial on how she does makeup on hooded eyes would be amazing...obviously impossible on herself bc she has the most magnificent eyelids I've ever seen, but I've suggested grabbing a friend who wouldn't mind being filmed.

Awesome! I know many people are complaining about the prices of her routine, and your right its pretty expensive, but in my opinion, your skincare should be your priority in terms of your beauty routine, no matter what the cost. Jaclyns skin looks flawless because she invests in her skin! Foundation will never lay on my skin personally the way it does unless Im strict with a skincare regime.
Sephora is really good for giving out samples of they're skincare, i use to work for them. You won't see long term results by a sample but you can read reviews and see if you react to the products before you invest your money in them.

Agreed! I cringe when I see beauty gurus use all this high end makeup and then absolute rubbish skincare! Skincare is more important imho!
People complain when gurus use expensive stuff but would you rather they lie to you about using a cheaper product and then you go buy it and you cant achieve the same results??? I dont get people who complain about honesty.

I just wanted to share with you a thought I had when watching your tutorials! While I love your content, I really think that tons of people would benefit from watching you work on different types of people who have varying skin and hair types, facial structures, and so on. You mention that you have super dry skin. What would it look like if you did a tutorial on a girl who has super oily skin?
I know you worked for Mac and do freelance, so I'd love to see you broaden your material! Your craft can be better accessible to a larger group of people which would be wonderful for you and everyone!

I agree! I have combo/oily skin and a round face, so I'd love to see how to properly contour etc for my face.
She's not an aesthetician, she went to a professional and this was put together for her. Remember, she struggled for years, just like everyone else.
Jaclyn is literally the only TH-camr I trust about buying products..so don't tell me she only does that for money. I know she only talks about the stuff she actually loves! I don't see why everyone is complaining about how expensive the skincare line that she uses! She can spend her money, that SHE earns, that goes into HER banking account however SHE wants. It's HERS.I can't afford the skin care. I can't afford her house, I can't even afford whatever she drives. But does that mean I'm going to complain about it and tell her that she needs to buy a house that average people can afford? Or to buy a car that I can afford??If that was true she would be driving a used 1999 below $5,000 range. But I don't ask that of her and I wouldn't. I'm proud that she's worked so hard and has earned all of this and if I had all the money that she has, heck yeah I would be snatching up the nicest of EVERYTHING. I don't think girls saying these products are a bit pricey is being disrespectful or "hating." I do think that skin care is something to invest in and splurge on but many girls like my self do not have the option. Everyone needs to start somewhere, go back into Jaclyn's older videos when she first talked about her skincare routine when using Mario Badescu products. These are still good products for a more affordable price. Buy what you can and do your research and someday when you can afford more expensive products like this then you can invest. Even Jaclyn did not start off buying these high quality items, any skincare routine is better than none!

For anyone interested a really good dupe for the philosophy purity cleanser is the neutrogena foaming cleanser. They are a different consistency but do the exact same thing for my skin and remove makeup the same way. It's literally like 5 or 6 bucks.

I've been having a really rough few weeks because of anxiety, and your videos are such a nice distraction! Thank you for being such a positive influence in my life Jaclyn. Aw me myself suffers from anxiety and overthinking. Just remind yourself that whatever is going on is just temporary. We are so blessed in so many different ways I believe because of my anxiety I'm so much stronger. I hope your weekend is so much better!!!! Try searching up breathing exercises it helps!!!
I'm sorry to read about how bad your anxiety is. I've been dealing with anxiety since I was 7 (I'm 26 now) and have been getting panic attacks since I was 14. I had recently resigned myself to "well this is my life, I guess I'll just have to deal" when I tried one last dr and she was INCREDIBLE!! I know many people go the natural route, and I think that's amazing when that works for them. I have tried different natural ways to cope and unfortunately, it wasn't enough for me. This dr that I saw was pricey for the first visit, but she prescribed me just 1 medication and it has CHANGED MY LIFE. I still feel like me,my same personality and everything (I was afraid it would turn me into an emotionally devoid robot) but me minus anxiety and I didn't know I could feel this way. If you're able to do some research and talk to your family doctor, maybe you can find someone really good at their job to help you. I'm the meantime, remember you're not alone. I hope things start improving for you XO

Guys this stuff is no joke!! I got in contact with Diana Fountain after Jaclyn mentioned her in a video one time & have been hooked on these products ever since. I'm so obsessed!! These products have truly changed my skin just like Jaclyn said they did with hers. Ms. Diana honestly is the sweetest woman you'll ever meet & she's so helpful. These prodcuts have truly changed my skin for the better & I'm so happy with the results!!
Yes it is pricey, but like she said in her previous video where she mentioned the brand "I'd sell my soul for skincare!" I save up every month & put money aside so I'll have it to spend on these products! They are life changing & life savers!! Plus, Ms. Diana is super sweet & is the most genuine person & truly cares about you & your skin, so she will do everything in her power to make sure you get the right & necessary products needed for your skin type.
+Liana Garcia I'm in Michigan so am not a client of Diana's but I have used Sanitas skincare in the past and it IS amazing stuff. I'm not sure my skin ever looked better! It was too expensive to keep up, but I will say that the peel pads and ONE serum is enough to make a difference. I used those two items with Cetaphil or CeraVe cleanser and lotion, and it still made my skin look amazing. Like most things in life, people should choose what works for their skin/budget/life and not hate on someone else's choices. If you can afford them/find a place to order them, they are really a great investment! Totally agree with you.

A facial cost me $65 and my lady does consults for free that actually made me a little irritated I wish you had mentioned that and I wouldn't have wasted my time trying to get a hold of her for 4 days

Today I had an interview at Sephora and before I left my sister told me, "if you don't get it don't worry the didn't even hire Jaclyn." That made me feel so much better that I could succeed even without that.
And then during the interview she asked me how I learned about makeup, and I said TH-cam and Jaclyn Hill. She said, "Did you know she applied here and didn't get the job? Then she actually worked for the Mac downstairs. I wish I would of been the hiring manager at the time to change that." 😂
But seriously what a crazy coincidence! I feel even closer to you now somehow. You're the best girl. Thanks for inspiring me and changing the world one highlight at a time. 💕

I'm a licensed medical aesthetician, and I work for a pharmaceutical skin care company. I did research into the brand Sanitas, and they represent themselves as a cosmeceutical company; not pharmaceutical. This means that the process that they go through is not as rigorous for research and development as a pharmaceutical company would have to. Their products are not registered with the FDA for safety, efficacy, penetration, and to monitor the regulations of the claims that they make. I also looked into their ingredients, and I did not notice any that were USP grade (United States Pharmacopeia). Ingredients are graded with this when they are the purest and most stable form available; another sign of a pharmaceutical grade product. Just wanted to make you and your subscribers aware
* that there is a difference between the two. Safety of the patients using the products is the #1 concern, always!! I just wanted to make sure that everyone has correct information so that can do research and make educated decisions about investing in their skin care!

As an aesthetic therapist myself it is so refreshing to see someone who people actually listen to talking about cosmesutical brands. At the end of the day if you want results you get what you pay for and you need ingredients that are going to get right down to the dermis to do any kind of good. i have been using clinique liquid facial soap for three months and it has changed my skin. i use it day and night. and it cost 17$ and for moisturizer i use the Neutrogena hydrating gel (the dupe for mac charged water or so I've heard) it comes in a blue jar with a white cap. my skin is always soft. i don't wear make up on an everyday basis. and i always try to keep my face clean. if you want to complain about the price, hustle harder to afford it. or find something that works for you that doesn't break your bank. you don't need name brand things. sometimes cheap things work better.

Jaclyn - I am a new subscriber, and I've watched soooo many of your videos the past few days because I am obsessed! I am seriously hooked on your channel, because you are so radiant and have a beaming personality. My husband laughs at me because of how crazy obsessed I have been, and I NEVER - I mean, n.e.v.e.r. watch makeup videos. It just isn't my style, but I found you and cannot stop. I had tears in my eyes while watching your meet & greet videos, as well as when you pour your heart out on camera.

I personally think less is more when it comes to skin care. A good moisturizer, cleanser, and maybe a cream or two should be good, but then again not all skin is the same. But I feel as though, even with higher end products, too many products can do the opposite of what you're trying to achieve.
This is VERY true. I was so dry I used to pile things on. Until I realized each item interacted with each other causing the dryness. Now I'm one brand 1/4 of the products. I'm 38 and can pass for 28 😊
Personally, it depends on the ingredients. Most Koreans have a pretty extensive skincare, but their faces are in good condition. If you're picking out skincare, sometimes you have to look at the ingredients to see if they are good with each other. Though, many people have various of skin problems on their skin and for some more than others. So not everyone is lucky enough to just use some cleanser and moisturizer along with sunscreen and just go out. Though, a lot of people ignore their diet to see if the food their consuming is breaking them out or if it's just their hormones are high. The sucky thing about some skin problems that they could be genetic. While I do agree that less is more, I also see that for some people it works for them to have more skincare product for them.

Yah I can understand what you mean, some people struggle with rosacea and acne-prone skin/ other skin conditions. You were right with saying that diet plays a huge part in how your skin looks. What you put into your body, essentially comes out, aka you are what you eat basically.
I think it would be best thought to speak with a dermatologist rather than take recommendations from youtubers, bc although they mean well, everyone's skin/body is different.
+KaySeerece I totally agree with you! Thats why its taken over a year to accumulate all these products. I started off very simple and then added one thing at a time, got rid of some, tried new ones, etc. Now i'm at a place where I love EVERY single product through trial and error.

Ok I keep seeing comments defending Jaclyn saying "but she got these from a doctor" now I have no problem with what she uses bc it's her skin so if it works for her cool, but the woman who recommended these to Jaclyn is aesthetician, not a dermatologist. Not to bash aestheticians but they are way different from a dermatologists. Dermatologist go through four years of university, then four years of actual medical school, then years of residency. Aestheticians go to a year of beauty school. Completely different. Again not to rag on aestheticians but don't take there words and run with them just because the title sounds important. They're no where close to being an actual medical doctor. Not saying they can't recommend good products as Im sure they are well versed in skin care, it just irritates me when people are ignorant to the difference between the two. I'd also like to add if your skin conditions are severe, an actual doctor will be your best bet in fixing your skin.

Omg! I used to have SO bad oily skin so I took your advice from your past video and put more oil in my skin because you said my skin might be over producing it. You were totally right! Skincare should be taken very seriously, so I highly recommend doing your own personal research before purchasing any recommended skincare products.
For example, the Philosophy face wash she mentions contains many irritating fragrant oils which contain volatile compounds; which are proven to irritate and damage skin. Even if you don't notice irritation or damage, the damage is taking place under the skin where collagen and DNA damage are happening (aka greatly increasing risk for skin cancer). The formula also contains black pepper extract which is an irritant.
Natural skin care is something that should NOT be considered a fad. Skin care should be treated exactly like medicine since you are essentially "treating" your skin. I highly recommend looking up Beautypedia for thorough reviews on skincare. The site includes thorough ingredient breakdowns and ratings backed by clinical research.
I agree. As with any other gurus on TH-cam, many of the products they recommend are often not the best thing for skin. I always consult Beautypedia before purchasing products I'm interested in. I hope others are smart enough to do their research.

I used to be a fan of EWG until I found that it was mostly a bunch of fear-mongering and didn't recommend products unless they were 100% clean and I could never find products from them. Paula's Choice/Beautypedia avoid fear-mongering, promote ingredients with PROVEN researched results, and avoid the hype behind exotic/fancy ingredients with no proven results or research.
Also, people need to understand the importance of avoiding marketable things like fragrance. They don't belong in skincare. Period. Something that smells good is nice but it isn't part of a serious skincare routine. Focus on what works!

+Jerri Alexandrian I've thought this too. The ick factor is high. Leaving bits of your makeup on is not a very good idea. Plus anyone who as ever had a stye will let you know that the prospect of getting a clogged pore in that area is an ugly, uncomfortable problem. If you think it's too much work to put on makeup everyday just don't do it or get permanent cosmetics.
I absolutely love this line of products! I use a mixture of Yonka, Eminence, and Sanitas and my skin has never been better.

I just wanted to say thank you. You are about a million years younger than me and I have watched your videos for a while. I always knew that your exact beauty routine wouldn't work for me because every person is different. What I can say is that you helped encourage me to try new things and you have taught me how to do things with my makeup I would have never tried before. I've adopted some of your technics and they have helped me look and feel younger and more confident. Now if I could just master the art of putting on lashes I'd be good 😆. I love beauty gurus and adore Jaclyn, but keep in mind that makeup artistry and the chemistry of skincare are two very different areas of study. Some of the products she's recommended are loaded with fragrance and irritants, and she's probably not aware of it. Again, no hate for Jaclyn, she's wonderful and a talented makeup artist!! But do your research on the basic principles of skincare formulas (on a site like Paula's Choice) before spending money on new products.

I´m sure that Jaclyn knows what´s in the product she use, she´ve used them for years.
+zarahhjaoo I'm not attacking anyone, just promoting a healthy amount of skepticism towards skincare recommendations from makeup artists. She is apparently unaware that the purity cleanser, for example, contains great amounts of fragrance and irritants. And I'm pretty sure Diana is an aesthetician, not a dermatologist (which isn't bad at all, but it's a very different job than being a derm). These are "cosmeceuticals", which is a meaningless and unregulated term invented by the cosmetic industry to sell product. That said, I really love Jaclyn!! I absolutely support her whether or not I think she's in a position to be giving skincare advice.

I started using anti aging products when i was 18, i am 27 now and i am soo glad i started that early :)
The earlier you start, the earlier the aging would start.

It's not part of her DAILY routine. This is what she does every single day, masks are weekly, sometimes twice a week. :)

Hi people! For anybody interested in following Jaclyn's skincare routine: Make sure you know your skin type! Yes, Jaclyn has beautiful skin, but the products that work for her, may actually cause damage to YOUR skin! KNOW YOUR SKIN TYPE! Talk to a professional first! Maybe ask them about this line and to look into it for you! They may have different product suggestions that will make your skin the best it can be! Good skin care is usually a little bit pricey, but 10000% worth the investment! The skin you have now is the skin you'll be in for the rest of your life, treat it well, and it will treat you well too! I'm currently studying esthetics. Skin is facsinating and it can be really beautiful if you care for it properly! :)
