From what I've seen, the story reminds me of a new age AC game. I personally don't hate the new age AC stories, but they're obviously no TW3 or RDR2 so I wouldn't expect too much from it. Gameplay, world design, atmosphere and graphics all look great though, so I can forgive a mediocre story

Good god, you are right about that. I took BDO seriously for about 6 months and couldn't believe the amount of daily, endless grinding you had to do just to get ONE piece of respectable gear.

In terms of impact, it can also be optimized. The impact is not about applying special effects, but about the sensation of being hit, which requires strengthening the detail processing of actions. If there are too many special effects and the character only takes two steps back, it is actually not perfect.
Can’t wait for the release and super hyped for how the character creation would be tbh… The function of Black Desert was already one of the GOAT and I'm even being anxious whether if the upcoming title can go beyond that level.

this is my kind of game, open world, do what you want to do, beautiful nature, music, medieval time, animals petting, interesting combat, good looking armor, horse ride, fishing etc.. I only hope the game isn´t short, it would be nice to get map size like in AC Valhalla xD because Valhalla and Odysey were big but i was never bored, it could be bigger xD and yes, it would be nice to have character creation and customization

It seems great here on screen to watch somebody else play but the movements seem very weird and odd like at 5:14 when he moves to attack but is weirdly sliding towards him. But then again this game is not releasing this year or anytime soon so I hope they take their time with the combat and make the movement "during combat" seem more natural.
Yeah, the combat looks floaty and awkward. The world looks great but what’s the chance it’s just another visually appealing empty nothing? Very high. Setting is some basic fantasy medieval lite carbon copy. There’s really nothing to get excited about here. Happy to be proven wrong, but this looks like it is going to be extremely average.
It’s kind of like an anime, when they slide like that, you can see an effect following there feet, it seems intentional and it’s also by an Asian studio, I like this combat bc I like anime but to each their own

Splithorn has a nice ring to it, dope. Reed Devil is a scary name. Stoneback Crab 🦀 is a dope name. Reed Devil has nice lines/symbols on his mask and interesting outfit material/design. Plus the stoneback crab has a nice shape.

You nailed it. Too many games have this overemphasis on gigantic flashes of light and vfx and it looks goofy when the impact/weight isn’t there
