      The good thing was that I knew that I was fortunate and didn't take any of it for granted. Yosemite's waterfalls are top notch! I'm excited to share some of the footage of the falls heading down to Waterwheel along the Tuolumne River!

    I've done the tour of Yosemite hike several times. It's similar to this but I go over Nevada falls down past Emerald Pool and down Vernal Falls. Coming down the JMT is boring and not pretty. Thanks for sharing!

      I agree that your way is better! I was hiking to work on my day hike map/guide for Yosemite and knew I'd be coming up the Mist Trail which is preferred to going down it. I was also ready to be done, so I was more interested in the quicker route. :D

    This trail looks epic. I would have to do half dome first then this one along with the yosemite falls summit.

      With Half Dome, you can go up the Mist Trail to catch Vernal Fall, Silver Apron, etc as well as hiking up the left side of Nevada Fall. Do the climb, then on your way down, come down the John Muir Trail to cruise on out and get different views.

    Glad Glacier Point Road is closed this year because I'm hiking up there in 3 weeks and I don't expect alot of traffic!

    Where did you park or did you take a shuttle

    • @hike734
      @hike734  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I parked at the Four Mile Trailhead. At the end of the day, I walked the Valley Loop Trail back to my car, but I could have potentially taken the shuttle, but I didn't want to wait for it. You could always park at the main parking area, then take the shuttle to the trailhead.

    How many hours did it take you to complete??

    • @hike734
      @hike734  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I started at the Four Mile trailhead at 8:15am and was at the Mist Trail trailhead at 6pm. I then walked back to my car instead of hopping on a shuttle. I got back to my car about 45 minutes later.

    I did this in 2018, its awesome
    finished it off with the ridiculously overpriced pizza. it was a very good day
    camped at 4 mile trail campground.

      But I bet it was delicious... if anything because you were starving!

      @@hike734 It certainly was, and was the topic of discussion nearing the end of the hike. it was expensive, but good and had leftovers for breakfast.
