This fairy tale reminds me of the original Beauty and the Beast story. The father also had three daughters - the first two asked for pretty girly things, and the third asked for a plant (rose), the father ran into a spot of trouble during his travels, ran into a beast who made a deal with him for his youngest daughter, and you know the rest.
Yea. Those ugly sisters would be like omg shes gonna be with a BeAsT ew. But then she ends up with the most fortunate life as a result of her genuine heart and pure soul. Those 2 sisters are so mad, jelly and evil, upon seeing her wed a prince/king, that, a fairy sees them and curses their appearance to match their hearts. They physically turn into stones. As that's how their hearts were. Maybe the same fairy that cursed the prince to turn into a beast? cuz he won't give an old lady some shelter in his bigass kingdom amidst storms. The old lady reveals her true form and curses him to become a beast as he was such on the inside. Makes one wonder what could this prince have done, to make the fairy curse him, turn him into a pig, until the day a girl who loves a talking vine, smiling apple and jingling tingling peach, or, the stars, sun and the moon, shows up.
Well, would you want to be married to a pig? Really? I think it's only natural she was upset! And she's not really materialistic, look at the things she wished. She was upset because she had to marry a pig she didn't know in a shack with hay. I'd be depressed, too. Don't know about you guys!
I feel like after waking up, it would've just been the pig and his tiny shack. And not until the pig and the girl have bonded for a while. And after the man propeses, he would be rejected the first time until the man told her the story .

Love these tales cause you never know what to expect. Also the frogs son is now a fine mustached fella trying to find the wife so he can tell her her love for the king isn't real but the result of the witches spell.
Got to love the logic of this story the first two sisters ask for things that are flashy yes but concrete and easy enough to buy if you're as wealthy as a king and they're the bad sisters and then the third sister asks for things that literally don't exist and three of them and she's the good one
@@uber21 Actually, drawing characters with blonde or light coloured hair is just a way to represent youth, as the amount of melanin in some people is lower when they are babies and increases as they grow.
I'm not sure but I think the reason why the youngest sibling is usually the one with best fortune in these tales is because, unlike the older siblings, the younguest haven't spend enough time in this world to be corrupted by it, which means that theie soul is more pure than those of theie siblings. So when people wrote these tales, they usually used the youngest character as a symbol of innocence, candidness and purity, therefore, the younguest had better fates than the other characters.

None else bother by how many of these stories include a person making a deal, greatly benefiting from the deal, then trying to lie their way out of it and acting the victim when they couldn't?
i am hungarian myself and seeing all these comments just saddens me really... all my childhood i loved these and it just ruins my childhood :""( but they are funny haha
hm..people joke often in the comments bout how the "youngest and prettiest" sister is always blonde, but seeing the darkening gradient so clear from youngest to oldest in this one made me realize it probably has less to do with trying to specifically associate blonde hair as an ideal of beauty and more just...thats what a lot of white peoples hair does. my brother was born blonde and it got darker over time, turning dark brown by adulthood, and thats just a genetic thing in some populations i guess. just a natural marker of youth for said people.
Exactly. I went from being light blonde to dark blonde, and I'm predicting my hair will get darker with age. Another explanation I have for the blonde youngest trope is that blonde/yellow hair stands out more, from an artistic perspective. The hair colours aren't always specified in the stories, it's the animators who decide on them. My guess is that the main character often has light hair to "pop out" more.

This one's my favorite of them all, I'm not sure why. Maybe it's that all this guy has to do to win the heart of a princess was to gift her weird produce.
Youngest princess: welcome home dad! Did you bring me the things I asked?
King: nope, but I did get you a pig for a husband!
Youngest princess: ...
A lot of the familiar sun moon and the stars symbolism, but not once were they spoken out loud.
Y'know its nice to just listen to bedtime stories before bed.
What I love about this channel is that it was probably started with wholesome intention. Yet every comment on every video are just jokes or critiques lmao
None else bother by how many of these stories include a person making a deal, greatly benefiting from the deal, then trying to lie their way out of it and acting the victim when they couldn't?
wow,all it took was a talking vine, a ssmiling apple, and a jingling, tingling peach. I wish i could get a gal that easily
These Kings/Fathers be so quick to give their daughters up for easy labor and things. SMH 😂
this one gave me full body goosebumps and im not sure why
7:37 Love the soothing music♥️
Was expecting the youngest daughter to ask for a diamond dress... Because that seems to be the pattern for hungarian folk tales.
Nobody :
The 🐷 : "OInK GRuNTTT OINKK"
I love the animation in these!
Lesson: Don't promise things you're not willing to pay.
For once, it's the youngest daughter who's being unreasonable with her requests.
Very beautiful illustration.
Thanks
i am hungarian myself and seeing all these comments just saddens me really... all my childhood i loved these and it just ruins my childhood :""( but they are funny haha
It's very pretty and I enjoyed!
hm..people joke often in the comments bout how the "youngest and prettiest" sister is always blonde, but seeing the darkening gradient so clear from youngest to oldest in this one made me realize it probably has less to do with trying to specifically associate blonde hair as an ideal of beauty and more just...thats what a lot of white peoples hair does. my brother was born blonde and it got darker over time, turning dark brown by adulthood, and thats just a genetic thing in some populations i guess. just a natural marker of youth for said people.
Witch: you will be curse until someone wishes for those things.
A few minutes later-
Witch: pfff like anyone will wish for that xD
*Witch notice the pig become a king or prince again*
Witch: I can't believe someone would wish for those items 0^0
....
Sh-
Everything is so ornate.
I think the story would've worked better if the king turned back into a swine one more day just to make it clear this isnt just a dream she'll never wake up from. The stuff at the end makes it look like it was.
This is incredibly beautiful.
From Africa to Hungary with ❤️ !! I have lots of African tales on my channel and I’d admit that this tale is interesting l!!! 👍🏿👍🏿

Me studying Math be like:

I may be mexican. But i sincerely enjoy hungarian folk tales. HUNGARY FOR LIFE!
And the narrator voice acting as the daughter... Superb
0:15 that bird be choking up titles
😂Не знаю как Улыбающееся Яблоко и Тили-Мили Персик, а вот Говорящее Вино это легко, надо только выпить серьезное количество))))
I was just watching Reddit videos before, how did I get here?
Beauty and the Beast meets "the Frog Prince" and "the Line of Golden Light"
Why in the castle does the prince have a picture of the three girls? 😂
Hungarian tales are interesting.
As a Hungarian I'm thankfull. I actually never expected ppl to be intressted in these
Wow. What a specific instruction on a curse. Compare this to the beasts task to find true love before the petals fall. Makes the beasts curse look like a broken pinky promise
Lovely voice
I just remembered Prince Valdemar and the wicked wizzard
Wizard: All I wanted was the love of a young maid to recover my old appeareance.
Valdemar: What did you look like? A dragon, a mythological creature?
Wizzard: I was the same but tall, handsome and fancy XD
Oldest: “I want a dress!”
Middle: “ want a dress to.”
King: “ would you like a dress to sweetie?”
Youngest: “NO I WANT FRUIT.”
King: “alright, that should be easy-“
(Youngest daughter grabs her dad’s face.)
Youngest: “no dad, I. WANT. LIVING. FRUIT!”
(Grabs tv and throws it out the window)
King: “........okay, no more veggie tales for you young lady!”
Me after writing this: “why did I write this?”
Reminded me of beauty and the beast.
Wait the king goes to the market
I heard a story similar to this..
4:20 when the pig licked his lips lol
