I've used one and tbh it's actually a good phone I was very surprised being the nature it is supposed to be a real billy budget phone, the camera is surprisingly good and the battery life and screen is great, only niggle is the charging time but for the price point I think it's fantastic. The build is solid the styling is nice and fresh and the texturized leather look back makes it comfortable to hold. They have the A+ out now and this has the fingerprint scanner on the rear but everything else is the same. Good review.
The experiences with products can vary widely - and what works well for one person may not work well for someone else. Simple. Some people are motivated to discredit positive opinions in order to protect their own negative opinions about a product or brand, hope this isn't the case here..
I know this might be an old video..but I just bought my new A1..I have to say it.....this phone is just perfect to me as iam using for social media..TH-cam ..iam notuch of a gamer.....the camera isn't bad also.. although i would hv love this device to have a fingerprint sensor..but am not complaining
These are the times when the cheap phones getting good and the good phones getting cheap. Personally I like this phone too, expect that microUSB, everything is great as for the budget phone. I hope it will last you long, if you'd discover anything new about it, please share your experience here, it'd be highly appreciated 👍
I bought this for my wife after her iphone 11 screen shattered. She used it for 2 months before getting a new iphone. For the price it is an amazing phone! The only down side is the microUSB.
Hi. It's not bad at all. It's got UFS2.2 storage system, which is fast enough for virtual ram extension, to be honest - browsing, apps, simple games, etc etc, all works smooth and noticeably better than without. As I have highlighted in the video, it's just a basic & budget phone, ideal for everyday use and honestly, it does the job just fine. In my opinion the biggest downside of the A1 isn't low amount of ram. It's that outdated micro-usb which means, if the cable would get lost or misplaced....I'll be in trouble 😵💫 all devices using usb-c these days. Except that A1....
Been using for around 7 months now and it's an absolute bargain. I don't really play games outside candy crush and angry birds but you tube, Facebook all work fine and battery is outstanding, way over a day and a half for me. Okay you may have doubts about buying a Xiaomi phone, I did too, but if you're looking to buy a sensibly priced smartphone you really can't go wrong and nobody really cares if you've got the latest iPhone anyway! This phone and Xiaomi are a real eye opener...and did I mention the price? £79 in the UK at Amazon/Argos. 😮
thx for the video, very interesting....I bought one of tese a few days ao for €90 and I am satisfied with it... I have basic needs like phone, email, FB, LI etc... no games or videos.... seems to ok for those items
i try subway surfer, there are some framedrops in gaming, candy crush lags at choosing stage, real racing 3 also lags, i see you update the software, did it make the performance a bit better?
Yes you can. Go to Settings > My Device > MIUI version. Press several times on MIUI logo until “additional features are on” text comes up. Tap on hamburger menu. Now tap on “Choose update package” option.
hi. You may check Wallpaperscraft - its an website and app that offers a wide variety of free wallpapers, including high-resolution wallpapers, live wallpapers, and animated wallpapers. You can search for wallpapers by category, resolution, or color scheme, etc. I usually just Google for example "oneplus wallpapers" or "iphone wallpapers" and simply save the images to my phone if their resolution is high enough. Hope it helps.
Hi, it's a basic phone but it does the job. I'm testing this year's version now, the redmi A2+ and it's slightly better. Will have the video ready later this month.
You're probably right, it's budget range phone with basic cameras and processor, hence the photo enhancing (or Google AI image processing) isnt as good as in moee expensive phones. Try redmi note 12 or Xiaomi 12 pro, 12T or the Xiaomi 13.
Please don't buy this phone, I bought it early Dec 2022 for rm359 ($90 USD) Malaysian ringgit but processor very bad! It's always hang even if you watching TH-cam!
“Please don’t buy this phone” - everyone buys devices they’ll utilise (and/or can afford). If you are not satisfied with your phone why you bought it in the first place? The A1 is a basic, lo-end budget phone, I’m very satisfied with personally. I can make a phone call, check socials, snap a quick photo or video of good quality and I don’t have to recharge it every single day.
A beta? Not sure what it means, but it's certainly budget, no frills, and basic one. I mean, if you'd need the phone purely for making phone calls, browse and occasionally shoot some photo, it's fine

I must admit that I was surprised by the micro USB port. Apart from that, it seems a decent entry level smartphone.

Hi, is it slow?
Yes, it’s relatively slow
Is it sloww bro?
It’s relatively slow. Even though Xiaomi tweaked it to squeeze everything from its components, this wouldn’t make a ‘gaming phone’
@@hteur1 not compared to my old mobile
Do redmi a2 have earphones?
What about call, voice quality, loudness?
Loud and clear, that's why I skipped this bit in the video. The volume and quality is comparable with Xiaomi 12t I use at the moment.
No problems for me!
i try subway surfer, there are some framedrops in gaming, candy crush lags at choosing stage, real racing 3 also lags, i see you update the software, did it make the performance a bit better?
Hi. The update didn’t make any noticeable difference. That RAM tweak did (use the storage space to add extra GB’s of RAM)
@@FamilyPopTV that is slow ram swap. I don't see how it would make the device faster.
Good phone but they should have put the USB Type C
can we install MiUi 13 manually on Android 12 in Redmi A1 ?

@@FamilyPopTV Mine is a Stock Android 12 version. There is no MIUI logo to update the existing MIUI version.
