It doesn't like to start in gear; for instance, if it starts in 1st, there will be a slight lurch forward. If you tap up to N from 1st, it will start first time - with NO lurch forward. My (uncorked) 2024 WR250F is the same.
Iv'e had mine for a couple of months now.Put a G2 throttle tamer on;have done on all my bikes now for a few years;best handling bike iv'e ridden.Corners awesome but is really stable at speed.Some sort of magic trick?
I bought a new 2024 WR450 the suspension is quite stiff and harsh for trail riding. I opened the compression clickers 6 clicks and its still harsh. The throttle is pretty twitchy also. The power tuner app is great probably going to take some time to get it set up to my liking.
I've come from a 2010 crf250r and on that bike the suspension was super stiff for trail riding so when I jumped to the wr I could feel a really big difference in how it handles the terrain. Its much softer and rocks don't Jump the front end out as much so for me I see an improvement I haven't touched anything with suspension at all only gearing but im on the 250 so it could be softer than the 450 suspension but im not to sure.
Have you set up the appropriate rider sag for the rear shock? Mine is around 105 mm. If not, do that first. I'd also put a zip tie on the front forks to see how much travel is being used. If that cable tie only moves down halfway after trail riding, you may want to get a softer spring. Ideally, you want to be using as much travel without bottoming.
@@fynn8252 Yes I have set my sag at 98 mm and I did put a zip tie on the front fork and it has only moved about 5" max. I am about 175 to 180# ready to ride I would think the stock springs would be set up for a rider of that weight. I have opened the compression clickers 6 clicks and it is still harsh. Thanks
@@billsharko3007 Interesting! You are correct about the suspension being set for your weight from the factory. After speaking with RaceTech, they say the stock spring rates are not well balanced. I'm heavier than you and had to go down a rate in the front and up 2 in the rear. That helped with compliancy a lot. Consider visiting a suspension specialist near you. It's one of the best investments.
@@Nickonbikes yes it comes choked up and it also doesn't come with the power tuner. you have to buy that separately ill make a video on the tuner app eventually I only got the new ECU for now ill get the CCU later but you need both to tune the bike from your phone.

What Honda crf was your previous bike and where did you get is the little mirror on your handlebars

Hey I was curious if it comes with a throttle stop / choked up ? Also does it have the Yamaha power tuner app ?
