  • Comparing the audio quality of GoPro's internal microphone in a waterproof case vs the Zoom H4n placed in a backpack. It makes a big difference! Pretty good sound. Original exhaust system on the Ducati.
    Video: GoPro Hero3 Black 1080p 60fps
Audio: Zoom H4n 44.1 KHz and GoPro Internal Microphone

Much better. So I take it the Zoom H4n recorder had some kind of pop filter on it? Also was the H4n inside your backpack or in a vested external sleeve on the outside of the backpack?
I've just been spending a bit of money buying different mics for my GoPro Hero2 and they all sound rubbish. i'm trying to do some vblogging - it's a craze I'm going through. I've come to the conclusion I need to record audio through a digital recorder because whatever I plug into my GoPro ends up being distorted. I own a Zoom H1 but that has such limited audio features, no limiter or compressor for example. And if I set it up in a backpack it will be hit or miss trying to get a good quality audio I reckon and alot of faffing.

Yes it had the standard foam pop filter and the recorder was placed in the backpack, facing the exhaust.
