Here's some other tips!
1. Depending on your gear, but just with everyone, use lightfoot boots, the speed is nutty
2. Double axe is busted (slowish attack speed), left click is the normal attack *pattern* but right has a totally vertical attack, use it at the right angle and it will go over shields!
3. Although the two skills listed (Rage and Savage Roar) are good, I recommend Achilles Strike with a throwing axe and Blood Exchange. Blood Exchange reduces your health by 25% health for 6 seconds (Base is 130, so it would be 97.5) but each hit RESTORES 5%. Use it with something like a hatchet and you get a minimum of like 20% of your health back! (NOTE: Once the time is over, say you had 75% of health during the end of the skill, you will have 75% AFTER the skill, making this skill great for super high armor ratings and health builds.)
4. Don't use the base axe. It sucks so bad I would rather use my fists.
5. Probably all of the tips for this video and this comment will probably be obsolete by the time you play the next playtest but it is still a good(ish) guide
I like battle axe as my base weapon so easy to hit headshots

Wrong Achilles strike is one of the worst perks

I use Achilles strike and war cry. tried using the movespeed one and it doesn't make enough of a difference for me to bother with it. I'd rather hide around a corner and use war cry

These tips are from early play tests a year ago. So much has changed by now
What about achilles strike? You can actually activate it with throwing axe, sadly I found it out only after playtest was over, but it sounds really strong, so basically you can chase down everyone (if you hit your throw ofc)
Achilles strike and bardiche are great options for pvp. The bardiche has a great follow up poke attack for someone with a shield or a way to get a ranged accurate headshot, and the third hit is a great wide attack. It’s great for mobs and great for multiple or single enemies.
I got one for ya. The two handers movement speed is sometimes a players downfall. Being outran by opponents. I started carrying a secondary Viking sword or headsmans axe and I can chase wizards and rangers down. Good so they can’t kite you

Don't forget the axe perks
Felling axe is a terrible tip, it's insanely hard to use. Extremely discouraging for a new player. The zweihander is S tier and so hard to screw up using.
Double axe is also good.
Zwi and double cleaaving through multiple foes and being easy as shit to hit the attacks outperforms the felling axe

Yeah dude and the felling axe is ass you're just gonna get memed on if the enemy player has 2 brain cells. achilles, rage and horsemans axe is BiS - IMO. If I use 2handers I like to rune the double axe personally.

savage roar isnt that good, the fear is really only helpful pve if your bad at pve in the first place and can even slow you down since mobs often run away, secondly the damage reduction part isnt as good as it seems since it reduces damage bonus not damage so it reduces how much damage is increase by not the actual damage, so early its basically not even park of the ability due to how little it does now in high roller team fights it gets alot better but its still not as good as it seems to be off the description
wrong about tip 1, Horseman axe is king. This weapon also makes tip 3 unecessary
Savage roar is le garbage Ive found.
Go rage and the healing blows to ooha booga folks or go achilles if you struggle to get in melee range.
Good game, I survived only 3 times. I don't know if I am that shitty player, or this game is harder then Tarkov where scavs got aimbot
horseman axe + achilles strike much better
Felling axe in the regular dungeons. In the goblin caves, horseman's axe by itself is soooooo good. PvE is a lot easier and last playtest my PvP kdr was probably 5 or better
U definitely didn’t get 5 kills every game I don’t think you understand how hard that is especially because some games you only fight one other squad while actively lookin for fights
@goten3965 he said his KDR. I assume he means over all his runs. 5 player kills before dying to one, not necessarily in one run
I kinda think the felling axe is dogshit. It’s not like barb has many good weapons to choose from, but the felling axe is (to my knowledge, at least) the only weapon in the game with a single-attack moveset. Meaning there’s 0 room for error. The range is just shit. The damage is great, the only silver lining. But if you’re fighting a competent rogue/ranger/fighter/wizard/warlock, they’re just gonna kite you and bait out your swings. The weapon sucks
Felling seems to suck balls, zwi and double will cleave multiple enemies and are much easier to hit.
Only thing is zwi can be awkward with a party
I don't think anyone needs tips on being a better Barbarian, load into a game and you're as peak as you'll ever be my friends
