I am loving the throne of glass series as well. 😊 I am reading the two books that they suggest that you can tandem read, and I am almost halfway through and I am very, very glad that I decided to do the tandem read. i’m doing it on audio. Both books happen at the same time, but on different continents. Which eventually comes back together. So so far it is making a lot of sense to read them tandem. And it is so much fun! I’ve never done this before!💛
I pulled out my fingering weight Cozy Memories blanket so I can finish the advent minis from last year. I had made it to day 18 but am doing more than one per "day" so I have 12 to add in from 2023. Trying to be ready for this year's advent before December, lol. I don't know how you finish those blankets so fast. Mine is the original one for me and it's been on the needles since April 2016 😳 I told my husband I've been in a relationship with this blanket longer than him, hahaha.

Good morning, Lisa. Your socks and the Starflake Shawl are fantastic! Squirrels pop power transformers in my town on the semi-regular. However, last time we lost power for two hours was from the massive severe thunderstorm that blew through the night of the 4th of July. It's a good thing trees have some flexibility because I feared a branch was going to punch through my bedroom window. As it was, we lost a couple of branches from the really big tree in our backyard behind the house. There were broken tree limbs all over the neighborhood from that storm. We haven't had any rain or wind that strong since then. I loved hearing the rain in the background of your video. It's music to my ears, I tell ya. I'm with you regarding not walking while it's so hot. We're under a Heat Advisory for like the seventh or eighth day in a row. Today the high temperature is forecast to be 110 F. It's deadly. Have a great week! Happy knitting and crocheting.
Chicken should be fine for a couple hours, just make sure the internal temperature is at least 165F before serving. You can always check with your local health department 😊

Also, you’re so funny ‘I don’t know where I’ll put my progress keepers on my DK sock WIPs next week’…as if you won’t finish them 😉😂 Those Halloween socks are so good! Love the sound of rain - I grew up in the tropics and listening to the sound of rain and storms is very soothing.
