Hi - if you would like to find out more about a career as a speech and language therapist, please visit: www.healthcareers.nhs.uk/explore-roles/allied-health-professionals/roles-allied-health-professions/speech-and-language-therapist
You’re absolutely right that men are under-represented in the speech and language profession. Research into the reasons why would suggest it’s because there is a need to raise the profile of the profession and the opportunities available within it. Both the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) and the NHS (for example through the NHS Careers website) are actively seeking to encourage more men to train. You may like to check out the NHS careers website for more about the training options and career progression: www.healthcareers.nhs.uk/explore-roles/allied-health-professionals/roles-allied-health-professions/speech-and-language-therapist Good luck for the future.
Great video! How many hours a day, and for how many days a week, do SLPs work? What are holidays like?

I'm thinking of going into SLT coming from education myself. Have noticed men appear to be underrepresented in this profession. Any answers as to why?
