Nice to see someone who’s not intent on throwing the bucket into the next county ! Casting just increases wear and slows the cycle time . . . . Rock-steady operator, and a nice video
So it looks like whatever bugs where in it have been slapped and killed. Nice video and you guys are doing a very good job operating that big machine 😜👍. All the best to you guys. Bill W.
Mr Gerhart said after a certain year the machine had to be left hand swing when they left the factory. once they got to him he could switch the air lines to right hand swing if the owner wanted it that way
I thought that was a Murphy instead of a Detroit. WOW, how quiet. A pal of mine ran a 9570? on a big job below here. Had a hoe on it with a hydraulic curl on the bucket. Got it mainly to lay 5 or 6 foot concrete pipe joints and the 95 could handle it. Usually a 180 is the biggest on big road jobs with shovels for boulder piles. Fine job and fine operators. Left hand swing so maybe I wouldn't turn it over. It's been a LONG time since a right hand swing. Thanks, Pal and GBWYall this weekend!
I love watching draglines, its mesmerizing. I operated slushers underground and an vertical mine hoist. These draglinline have drums like a hoist but much smaller.
@@73DiamondReo i worked on a job 5-6 years ago where we built a new rail spur over some wetlands, we had to create new wetlands to replace the wetlands that were developed at the end of the project.
I ran a Northwest 70 D at a local gravel pit for 2 yrs, it had the big old Detroit V8 motor, 1 gallon of oil a day you had to put in it and very loud, but I enjoyed running it, it started having akot of issues so my boss got rid of it and bought a Case long reach excavator with 60 ft. Of boom, with a 1 1/2 yard bucket, we had a 3 yard bucket on the drag line, but it seem to me I could dig as much sand maybe a little more with the long reach, it was faster digging, great video.
seems like it would be hard to dig under water like that. that material looks like you could make some really nice road base out of though. run it threw a crusher just to make the rock size a bit more uniform and get some fractured faces on the rock and i bet it would pack in hard as can be.
@@73DiamondReo unfortunately I'm not my stupid brother is having a stupid wedding and they planned his stupid bachelor party the same weekend as bowling green....
That dragline has the 'Spirit of Mary Anne' in her to which you have taken such good care of her that she never grows old

yes those two are great operators
Great video thanks for stopping by
thanks for the invite. sorry it took me so long to get up there.
That’s a nice machine. However, the brakes are not happy. Thanks for the video. Take care.
Nice machine. They have it set up backwards, Left hand swing.
OSHA requires all machines be set up with the control,s the same it has been that way for a long time.

@@73DiamondReo you are right we had two of them on a job one was right swing and the other was left swing I could operate them both.
@@donmotes5853 It's mining so it's under MSHA. MSHA couldn't care less.

would have loved to see that machine with a hoe. must have been pretty impressive
@@73DiamondReo It was a NICE one but the bucket cylinder leaked like a sieve.
The scale of it had me thinking of the opening sequence of the Flintstones!!

Check out my deep mine video
Am I first? Nice drag line! Remember seeing one of these working dredging out a swamp to put in a road, can’t do that anymore.
you're first! lots of red tape now to do anything in a wetland

Nice job guys very smooth! should last you for many years.
they do a good job!
I didn't know that I haven't run a friction crane in 30 years. Thanks

Air controls and not being able to see what i was doing really made me struggle when i tried it.
The paint stripe on the cable...

Not this trip. Yes for October
She purty!
Running nice, quite a find!
Needs bigger mufflers.
Smooth
sounds like a 12V71 Detroit
Has that one got the Murphy V8 in it?
Oh and it’s a nice video of the NW!👍
detroit
@@73DiamondReo sadly to much mufflers so one cant hear it!😁
Engine looks like a GM 16V-71
12v92
Now I want to go see a 9 yard machine that’s 40 miles from me.
go check it out!
Did you get it? What is it?
What engine does it have and how many horsepower does it put out?
Detroit 12v71. not sure the HP
12V92. Sposed to b 650 hp
That seems to me a thin bucket and not very full. Might be his plan.
more there than you think.
Looks like what that material wants to do.
