Oh, just for your info, I don't agree that Finnish grammar is hard. I have learnt pretty much about grammar (not everything by a long shot), and to me it seems pretty logical. What I do agree on, is to learn the grammer after one has gained access to the language and even then limit the grammar to the stuff you have seen before and understand. I you don't understand, then just skip it and don't worry about it. You will understand later. I have found that if you study grammar rules on their own, you are creating hell in language learning, where it is not necessary. After stuff in your input puzzles you, that is when you start looking for fules, to support your understanding. It is then way easier to comprehend, because you have enough context. Learning grammar too soon has no benefits. In my experience, grammar comes along gradually. Before I forget, your mileage may vary, because you get Finnish grammar at a Finnish university in Finnish, so the teacher will assume you already know a lot. That could explain why you experience grammar as being horrible: it really is more difficult. Just my guess! Thanks again for the video.

These are fantastic!! My preference would be to have an option to turn off the English subtitles because my eye jumps to the English and ignores the Finnish (I can cover the English with my finger, so it's not insurmountable). Others may find having the written languages together to be helpful, so a solution may be to have Finnish overlay the video itself, and English as the "captions" option (positioned so that they don't overlap)? Of course it's your channel and you're providing this incredible service for us so this will still be my favourite channel whatever you decide :)
Also if you do keep this format could you put the English subtitles at the bottom, if it's no extra work? Makes it easier to cover the text without obscuring your beautiful face 😁
Kiitos! I try to make it as easy as I could to you guys understand. When I make a video in Finnish TH-cam doesn't offer Finnish subtitles automatically but French and English. I found AI that makes and understands Finnish so I have more range to play with and edit.

Thanks for the video. Unfortunately, I did not vote for transcripts, but if I had, I would have voted separate Finnish and English in official youtube subscripts. (I suspect you used a different tool for the subscripts). The way I analyze A-studio for example is to send the audio to "freesubtitles" piste AI for either free or a small amount. I get both .srt and .txt files and I can even get translated if I needed them. Fortunately, for my language learning tool (Lingq) I only need Finnish transcripts. The rest I figure out myself. The service on freesubtitles is cheap enough for 10 euros to give about 10 hours of transcripting (translating is optional) so I use it a lot. The result is usually not error free, and the tool automatically skips fill words. Sometimes it translates mä oon to olen for example. Sometimes it leaves puhekieli alone. It could help you in more easily creating txt or srt files without much effort. Be aware though that the payed version always uses the bigger, better model, while the free version only uses the better model if it is quiet on the system. Oh, one more thing, white letters on a white-ish background is pretty unreadable. Thanks for the video!

I agree with you about the grammar. Since I grew up in a Finnish family it was learned by speaking. Now when I see various people doing grammar lessons it comes as a surprise and confusing. I prefer this speaking approach much better and it feels like a more natural way to learn it.
