Each One Educate One (e1e1) presents a free program of devotional songs by the 15-year-old child prodigy, Sooryagayathri, who will be performing live and engaging in conversation about music with her adoring fans.
This concert is presented by e1e1, an initiative to bring quality education to rural India. Each One Educate One is opening the doors of economic advancement to the underserved and underprivileged by offering completely free-of-cost education. This endeavor is transforming the lives of young girls and boys.
Hailing from a family of musicians, singing came naturally to Sooryagayathri. This became evident to one and all a few years ago, when she gained popularity for her captivating recording of the Hanuman Chalisa. Remarkably, she received the prestigious M.S Subbulakshmi Fellowship in Music at the tender age of 10.
Sooryagayathri will present a variety of devotional compositions and speak to listeners on Zoom this Mothers Day, Saturday, May 8th at 5:30 pm Pacific Time, which is also Sunday, May 9th, 6 am India Time. Her renditions of familiar and famous melodies are sure to delight the hearts and ears of ardent devotees and classical aficionados alike.
