As someone who comes from out of town, I totally agree with the mindset of the out of the park character meals on non-park-days. That being said, this year I did the Plaza breakfast with friends on Dapper Day and I loved it. I already had the mindset that Dapper Day was just going to be a "go with the flow" day and I had no agenda or ride plan (which normally I do) so having that mindset, I didn't care how long we took and I didn't feel FOMO so it was good to have that mindset and we had a wonderful time.
I enjoyed this video! When you said “I drenched it in maple syrup” I’m sure all of us Canadians gave you an imaginary high five. Really nice photos too! Love the one where Minnie is holding out her skirt.
What a fun birthday treat for Benjamin! My kids said the same thing he did - "this is the best breakfast restaurant ever!" We did a 10:20 reservation in August and it worked great to get a bunch of rides in then use it as an early lunch (the food and characters stay out until 11:30).
@@katelynrjohnson That’s nice they don’t take everything away right at 11. I wasn’t sure how quickly they had to switch stuff over for the quick service crowd.
@@SoCalDisneyDadQuestion for you. What time should you be getting off the freeway to hit rope drop & if there are multiple parking lots, is there a better one? I've not been in a over a decade so I'm not sure what's up. Thank you!!
We did this on a whim as first time DLR visitors in early September this year. AMAZING. AMAZING. AMAZING. Beautiful restaurant. Amazing cast members and memories to last a lifetime. ❤
You forgot about the Napa Rose Princess breakfast again! The food is the best of all the breakfasts and you get to meet 8 Princesses! Yes, it is the most expensive, but the children get a photo pass picture with a Princess and special gift as well. You also have a server. Guitarist plays in the foyer adding to the ambience. There's also special activities involved like story time or warrior training with a Princess.👸Go early so you have all the time you need to meet all of the Princesses and enjoy the 4 course meal you will certainly enjoy! 😋❤
We did that for our daughter's first visit in 2019. We took her the week before she turned 3. She didn't eat much but did love it. Got a lot of attention from characters.
This and the princesses are the character meals we have yet to try! Hoping to go to plaza for my daughter's 2nd bday cuz she just loooves the classic disney characters! And it's def a great way to skip the lines! Personally, I love breakfast food so I enjoyed Goofy's breakfast more than dinner 😋
I loved this video…omg 3 adults…that’s rough lol…I remember when we became 4 adults… “Drenched in maple syrup” that’s the only way to eat waffles 🇨🇦 Thank you for the video 😊
I really like the Plaza Inn. Due to so many characters. Its a good way to knock out a lot of characters. It saves you time in lines. I have been 3 times. And that is the only character dining I have done. Will need to try Goofy's and Storyteller's.
This is one of my favorite places for character breakfast. My family went here and Goofy's last year for breakfast. Both myself and my mother have dietary restrictions, and after each experience we agreed Minnie's Breakfast was much more accommodating and helpful in terms of meeting our restrictions. We had the opportunity to receive more choices for food by the chef at Minnie's too. It was kind of a surprise, because growing up Goofy's was our number one choice. Of course back then we could eat whatever we wanted too 😂 That said, both restaurants have wonderful cast members.
The last time we went to this character breakfast they had grape juice! This is my favorite juice and nobody ever has it, I saw that it isn't there anymore. And my last time I ate there was 2013. It's been a minute!
Such a great video, I have always wanted to do this, but seem to never want to take the time. My grandson is five years old and I think this would be a perfect thing for him to do, so many characters! Any chance you have a video about going to Disneyland as a couple with no kids coming? Tips on dining and such😊🥂
@@SoCalDisneyDadawe nice! I have been going to Disneyland since the mid 70s when I was a kid, 2000s with my kids and now I take my grandson. My husband and I are going to go in a couple weeks for the Halloween season without my grandson and I’m looking to plan a fun itinerary :-) thank you for all your great family videos!🎃
THANK YOU for this video! We are going to be doing the Minnie breakfast next month, and this is so helpful to know what to expect! I have also wondered if it's okay to do the breakfast as empty nest parents, but I am excited!
I like that the Plaza has more characters than any other character dining option at the Disneyland Resort and that is the only reason we go there. The food isn't great and the price is quite high, but we typically get to meet about 8 characters in about an hour which to me is like paying for lightning lane for characters. If your number one thing at the parks is rides or food then skip this experience. But if you have young kids (mine are 3 and 6) and don't want have to wait in long lines in Toon Town and Critter Country to meet characters it's a great option.
The Napa Rose Princess breakfast also has 8 Princesses! If you have a Princess who would love to meet them, it would save you so much time and you get the best food of all the character breakfasts! 😋❤👸
We did this in 2017, and got to see captain hook and goofy's son Max, along with chip and dale and the others. It was a really fun time! Glad you had a good experience!
@@shirleehegsted4347 Thats neat to hear that the characters rotate too. So if you do the experience again it’s likely to be a different set of characters next time.

Yes! Every morning until 11 AM. It requires a reservation. And while they aren’t hard to land, do it in advance, because they are usually all gone by about three weeks out. So don’t wait to the last minute to book, but neither do you need to do this at 6 AM on the 60 day mark like with some other places.

But our kids loved both times so that’s what matters at the end of the day. If you ever get a chance to review it, we thought storytellers had awesome breakfast food in comparison to plaza. When we did a character breakfast at WDW, we picked a later time, so that we still got to ride a ride (and not waste the golden hour), but then have a nice “bunch”. This way we not only got the cheaper breakfast pricing, but it kept us full for hours afterwards and didn’t need to buy lunch that day.
@@MP-cr7uf In this instance, we had to take what we could get as we got the reservation last minute from a cancellation someone else made the day before. But I agree this is the best plan.
