Congratulations on the "Retirement Flight" of Bombardier DHC-8-402 Q400. She has shown that turboprops can indeed hold their own up against the "big boys." Nice flight, lots of fun~!
I just finished watching a movie called Flight World War II where a modern day jetliner goes thru a time portal and finds itself over France in 1940 while WWII was raging on. And now, I;m watching your video. I'm going to miss the Q400s.
Had a good scare flying on a Q400 a few weeks ago. Was flying into Toronto Billy Bishop on a Porter Q400 and up until landing it was literally a perfect flight. Everything was normal, FA's were coming around collecting our final bits of trash and preparing the cabin for landing. The captain comes on and tells the flight attendants to prepare for landing and then we see the landing gear come down (coolest part of flying on a Q400). We were coming in over Lake Ontario, of course being the Av Geek that I am, I knew the exact approach we were supposed to take so I got very confused when we banked to towards the South after being lined up for arrival. It was smooth you could imagine, a clear afternoon and nothing (from what I could see) was wrong. I figured they ditched the approach because a plane failed to clear the runway or the tower asked them to go around. Then I noticed the FA pick up the phone for about 15 seconds and then got up and went to a passenger sitting towards the front. I knew this passenger was a pilot deadheading after seeing him board earlier. The pilot then got up and started walking down the aisle and looking out towards the right side of the aircraft from different angles. Seemed like nobody was paying attention to him but me lol. As soon as I saw him, I knew something was wrong with the gear. After a few looks and then a chat with the flight deck, the captain came on and told us there was a warning light coming on saying the right side of the landing gear was down but not locked in place. They had no way of knowing whether or not the light was an error or if there was actually a problem with the landing gear. The pilot declared an emergency and set up a diverted approach to Pearson airport to have access to a longer runway. After about 20 mins of circling we came in to land at Pearson. Captain came on and told us to brace for impact, it was pretty scary. Luckily we landed completely fine, but as soon as we hit the ground they slammed the brakes and came to a complete stop in the middle of Pearson's longest runway. They shut the aircraft down completely and we sat there for over an hour as the emergency crews came to greet us. Cannot thank the pilots and crew enough, they kept everyone calm and did a fantastic job. Definitely an experience for the books!
Man, what a story. That sounds like my kind of flight haha. Seriously though, having been in mechanical related emergency landings before, I understand what feelings you were going through. I'm glad it all works out fine and you've got a good story to tell for a long time to come!
No, I let them all run on their normal operating performance, or however you want to say it. I've already lost one HD on my iMac just using it normally haha.
Hey my friend. Good to hear from you on here. Everyone hates the sound of their own voice on recordings. Why do you think I don't ever give any commentary haha. They were all fine! Thanks for checking out the video!
"Love Your Self" is one of the big lessons it took me my whole lifetime to learn. And, you know who taught me that? It's that K-Pop group BTS! Once you accept and love everything about yourself, you will feel SO FINE. Don't worry; life's a course... We're all working on our own points as we go. And the aviation business too, which is perhaps the finest in America.

I was fortunate enough to have flown on the last Dash 8 from ALW-SEA back in January. Cool you captured this 🙌🏻👏🏻🙌🏻

Singapore Airlines in Seattle. With an Airbus A 350-900. Nice view shortly before landing.
Amazing work.
Thanks my friend!

Great fly! Have you overclocked your iMac and/or MacBook so you can get more performance while editing videos?

My PAs sound so stupid. I hate the sound of my own voice.

I'll be honest. I've seen the carpet before and I don't get what's so special haha.
