Champs always ban other team specialty instead of meta heros, I remembered back in m1 evos was dominating the entire tournament until they disrespect Japan's Rafaela, that's the moment they taste their first loss in m1, even other sea couldn't touch evos yet random japanese Rafaela destroy them, I still follow all japanese m1 member till this very day
Still got to feel for Echo though, aside from the grand finals, their previous games against blacklist were sweeps.

Yea that's how you learn to counter heroes: use them.
When I was starting ML I didn't know how to counter Gusion, Fanny, etc. After playing them, I learned how to slow them down because I was able to learn their skills first-hand.

Blacklist was NOT giving Echo their comfort heroes. Yawi did not see Atlas and Chou being used. KarlTzy was never given the chance to use Julian.

Echo is the better team even back in S9. Teams really just got lucky against Echo in S9 because the patch changed and KarlTzy had to adjust his hero pool immediately. If the meta didn't change halfway S9, Echo would have definitely been the champs.
