And being able to threaten eliminating a player on turn 2, most games. I've even dealt 21 commander damage on turn 1 before using Dargo/Jeska, and there are multiple ways to get there
Dargo is also very good with the two cards Sacrifice and Burnt Offering. Paying one black and one red for 7 mana is amazing. My favorite Dargo deck is Dargo/Silas. I had a game where I used burnt offering with Dargo to create 7 mana, cast ad naus digging into Peer into the Abyss and Sacrifice, which I could recast Dargo and play sacrifice to play peer. It was a pretty amazing feeling.
5:28 As someone who briefly tried this deck out, it's really fun. Using Jeska to pump Dargo really is a last resort. The deck mainly focused on speeding out an infinite mana or Dargo combo which you can do surprisingly well in mono red.

I'm building a Dargo//Jeska, I'm on a low budget so it helps to keep it one color, my local tournament doesn't allow mana positive rocks and "win the game" cards so I hope it can handle the meta
Isn't the point of Dargo / Jeska to assemble an infinite loop with Dargo + Phyrexian Altar for example, do that a thousand times and then play Jeska and one shot all three opponents with the -X ability?

What makes him better than others I mean he is big and can make a funny sac outlet for a Planeswalker of greater good but I don't see how that makes him competitive
I have hundreds of games with dargo (mostly with thrasios) Life's legacy is a trap card. Fire Giants Fury is also a dead card most of the time... so trap. Dargo is also a sackoutlet, making natural order into proteinian hulk, cast dargo, and get dockside + sabertooth. Bowmasters make greater good a bad choice.
Drawing 7 is fun, but if your opponents have an answer or you hit a bad 7, and are forced to pass the turn, the addition 2 may make itbimpossible to win on your next turn. As you have probably spent a lot of your resources (sacking) on getting dargo in to play. On top of that it's a dead card most of the time. Most of the games there are 2 instances when you cast dargo. 1 in stax/grind fest where you start the beat down. 2 your going to loop him and win. So in games I found life legacy to be a failure more often then a win. As risk of loosing the ability to win is way greater then the reward you get for drawing 7.
Yea, it happens too often. But more often than not it will catch a counterspell, and you're done practically. Dargo is now so expensive you will need a really slow game to crawl back.
@@arturstasienko2234 I find that when you do something that LOOKS scary but isn’t, the best play is to talk them into the rationale as to why countering it IS a bad idea. Most of the time they are just delaying a problem instead of solving it. Much better to counter the win condition instead like the Phyrexian altar or something similar. Personally life’s legacy has too much value as 1 card for me to not run. But I also play dargo as one of the 3-4 combo options. Dockside saber tooth, Beach freeze, and dualcaster lines.
I fancy the Jund-Package, but with Reyhan. Maybe there's some kind of valuable payoff with her. Like Infinite +1/+1 counters into something else with Great Henge or something.

Sorry to say this but cedh is pretty boring and I quit playing it this year. This has nothing to do with your videos tho. I'm a big fan. I also love playing Sisay and Kenrith and the deck are still on my shelf. I feel more into computer games and working on my youtube channel more than playing mtg now. and I also got my heart broken from Woke LOTR set. I won't come back until they provide more reasonable banlist and change the way they reprint things and manage their products.
You have no idea how much I actually understand you. I have to say I still like cEDH. But I think it was better a few years ago. More of a personal opinion. Totally understand. Take care bud.
