I'm really wondering what Korg were thinking, making a device with an arpeggiator and no MIDI-in. I am not about to sync my drum machines to the tap tempo on this thing. If I find out that each patch has a custom BPM, so I can set it specifically for each song, which I'm guessing it does, then maybe I'm sold... But for a $700 keyboard it is stupid that it doen't include this. Especially because it is basically a MicrokorgXL, which did have MIDI-in. Also, crappy that it doesn't include any onboard method for altering the patches. For a PERFORMANCE oriented synth, that really sucks. Are we expected to bring a laptop to jam with our band, or only use the patches we've already made? No modifying them to fit the song better? What a terrible oversight. Even if it was a crappy menu-dive, at least basic adjustments could be made to the sound in a jam. Also, filter cutoff resets as soon as you let go of the ribbon? I would have preferred a springless wheel or something. The large ribbon is awesome, but they should have just used a spring potentiometer for pitch as well. Anyway, it is the nicest looking keytar, and looks built to last... So many features are lacking, it is a little frustrating... I might be sold for it just as a MIDI controller. We'll see.
It's a step in the right direction though. There's nothing out there that's even close to touching it. The keys are way small, but the action is way good. This needs to be known. Some of us are players and care as much about the FEEL as the tech stuff. And it's actually kind of sexy looking. Most of these things are so DUMB looking. This board works. And it's made of WOOD!!!
5:07 love the intro for tomarrows kings. I've always wanted to see that but no live shows show you playing that part. Keep on shredding Vadim

I love this, keyboard players on metal genre never have the light that they deserve.

I liked this demo better than some of the earlier product demos for the RK100s.
Please interview Tuomas Holopainen of Nightwish next! He is the most profound user of Korg Keyboards (he uses 4 of them live).

When you have so much pitch, everyone is a good keytar player.
