What a beautiful car, my story started at age 7 when I was with my father when he purchased a new 1966 Electra 225. I loved that car and have wanted to purchase one for years. I think the 1976 is the most beautiful car produced, just something about it .
Thank you so much. And thanks for sharing the memories. I have 3 other 76 Buick featured on this channel if your interested in seeing them. Happy Holidays
Love your car - I grew up in a small farming community were there were at least a half dozen of these things, and Olds 98’s parked as well, in the church parking lot every Sunday. Too conservative for Cadillacs….except for a very few of them… what a time in car history. My dad had a 76 Estate woodgrain and cream with rally wheels like yours - passed my drivers test in it . Specifically remember falling in love with a black 76 park coupe with the white top. I’ve had 7 Bucks but moved on to a BMW now that GM barely makes a car anymore - these were made when driving a Buick really meant something sad to see that time in the rearview mirror. Thanks for sharing your car and story.
Im in East TN also! Just bought my first Electra, 1976 Limited 4 dr ht, liberty white with burgundy interior also! I was surprised it doesnt have elec door locks either. Drove it up from Savannah, drove and ran like a Swiss watch! The 455 didnt even notice the mountains!
Once when I was a young auto mechanic I bought a 1970 Electra 225 from the car lot next door for $500. It was actually in pretty decent shape and I drove it a while. Had to replace the water pump and snapped off one of the bolts on the cover, that buick 455 had the tiniest water pump bolts I've ever seen.
Someone said, "If you ain't got a Buick, you ain't got a car". I think this phrase kind of sums up the 76 model year (although my Dad's '98 Park Avenue Ultra was pretty damn nice).
No Moonroof 🤔. So how's it loaded. Goofy. I'm an assistant Administrator of Dem HoTT Buick Boyz. Know all about em. You sound like that kid u still are Know bout ur car. Could take mine, which I did, and put back together. Look at a real 225
You are not very knowledgeable are you? Sunroof was only offered on the 76 Electra 2dr coupe. Your comments give me a great laugh. Please keep them coming 😅
@christopherwilkins7607 seems like the ASSISTANT administrator of Dem HoTT Buick Boyz wouldn’t know loaded if it’s being shot in his ass! Maybe he would that whole group sound gay AF anyway! Least get some glasses dude this is a 4dr! Is it itchy running out?

Learned to drive in one of these in ‘76. I wish I had the room for one.
Thanks for sharing your memories. And yes they most definitely take up a LOT of room. 😅
1976 was years of GM best full size cars , and that Buick is one of them .
