I did exactly this lately :) My process was to find the set in rebrickable and then add this part to my sets. From there I find the set again and go to the inventory. There is an option to do a "checklist mode" where you can check if you have each part in the list. Whenever I dont have the part, or the full quantity, click on the item. Then there is a tab labeled "my lost parts" this is where you enter the number of parts missing. when you are done doing this, all parts that you marked as lost will appear in the "my lost parts" list. Those are the ones you need to order to finish your build :)
so i bought instructions off of there and it shows the parts but it isnt a list for me, is there another way to get the whole parts list to copy and paste?
These types of questions are best suited for the Rebrickable forum, as comments here are not frequently monitored. If you have designed your MOC in studio or another software you can normally upload that file to automatically generate the MOC parts list. All parts lists and custom lists can be exported and then loaded back into a MOC inventory.
Click the import file, upload the file of the parts list. Make sure you select the correct file source so the system can convert the info accurately. Once done best practice is to go through the inventory and manually check it uploaded as expected.
This website is a blessing, you are the Messiah
Do you have option assigning my own price for piece? like "what I paid" line
So say I want to recreate an old set. Do I go thru the pieces I have, add a quantity in for each piece then ask the website which pieces I am missing?
