One of the high spots of my life was, when delivering goods to find I was actually at Trojan Records. Thank you for the tunes that helped a young man grow in the turbulent 60's.
My favourite Trojan song, and that's saying something. For the last 50 years it's been for me the soul of life in a song. The day I don't want to dance to this, they can quite happily put me in the ground. What a tune.

I first came across this track listening to UB40's "Labour of Love". Embarrasingly, it was many years before I realized that this wonderful album was actually an album of covers!!! But I've had a lot of fun listening to the originals courtesy of TH-cam. Including this one by the Melodians, which is simply exquisite.
Can’t stand UB40 because pretty much everything they ever recorded was a cover version of beautiful songs like this that they totally destroyed with their own musical style and that droning voice of Ali Campbell completely ruining it.
I was one of those original London skinheads, I remember running out to get the barnet cropped, we had two styles, our jeans and dr Martins, and our classy, mohair trousers, white/red socks, loathers and crombies, we had class, style and a lot of fun around the pubs and clubs of London. Great days
Yes , I too wore those Dr. Martins , the chequererd shirts , the braces ,,,and the hats too...but I was not a Skinhead ....just hung out with them and played soccer with them on the Common . This was in the Crystal Palace area of London in 1970 .
The more I listen to this song, the more I fall in love with the music and lyrics! When I first heard this song, I didn't know what music was, I was very, very young, but it impacted my heart so much, that when I heard it again about 8 years ago, my memory went back to my infancy, a beautiful, happy and carefree time in life! I can say with confidence, this is my favourite song of all times! It just digs deep into my heart and soul in the most Beautiful Way!!!!!!!!!!!!!❤️🩹❤️🩹💖💖♥️
A Performance Thats Upto The Height Of Perfection....The Beats Just Makes The Wind ....The Sky....The Earth....Tap Toes To The Jingling ....Musical At Its Best....Beyond Par....The Tune Leaves A Footprint Of Its Own....A Forever Classic....Simply Timeless....
The some of the lyrics are from a hymn, which I can't remember. That they're from a hymn isn't surprising because most of the SKA and Reggae musicians were taught by a Nun. There is a BBC Radio documentary on her, but I haven't heard it for years.
Great music
Music that warms thy heart, special lil Tune.🇯🇲✌️🇨🇦🆒
This tune will still be playing in twenty thirty years time you can't beat the old time reggae the best.....
This Blend of Music is for all ages. First heard and dance to it in 1970. Still has that same love deep on the inside of it.

Reggae goes very well with meditation, also working out the neck muscle is known to help with migraine. Cheers
Reggae/Rocksteady beat slightly slower than average heartbeat. Reduces anxiety too as a result. Gets us right back to where we need to be.
