This is one of your best ever, Mark. When are you going to do a new solo album?

very nice version, like it a lot..Interesting "economy" style chording that seem's easy on the fingers, I wouldn't mind learning that myself actually (you should have pdfs )

@@4double07 interesting comment about “economy chording”. I’ve never heard anyone call it that before, but it’s a perfectly apt description. Actually all movement should be economic to maximize how energy is concentrated into making sound. I’ve never made any fingering diagrams or other devices to remember these things or communicate them, though I’ve gone to extra measures to ensure the video has good angles and shots of this stuff.

@@markkleinhautjazzguitar333 I see the term used a lot in forums as economy picking etc...but rarely see chords done the way you do especially giant steps which pretty much covers the fret board I definitely will pay more attention to your videos . Thx for posting and taking time to reply much appreciated.

@@4double07I’m always happy to talk shop about playing. I’m in pretty much all of the forums that I can find on Facebook. I always use my real name too so please feel free to give me a shout out thanks

@@markkleinhautjazzguitar333 Thx Mark I actually follow on some other jazz gtr Forum but, some of the members there are ,well, ruthless would be a polite term..It can be brutal and I'm not confrontational, so I keep a discreet presence . Just this week a few players got lambasted after they posted their efforts , I mean like you said somewhere , first attempted GS 40 yrs ago and there you are with one of the better solo rendition I've heard , I don't have 40 yrs anymore....and I had never heard of giant steps until last year so. My mileage will vary ..🙂 Regards, Ray

Funny thing is when one clicks on your profile in the app, they can see your recent comments and every single one of them is a put-down or laughing at somebody. I think you should examine your life.

Oh Victor, why so fulll of hate? Perhaps it’s sadness or envy? In a creative musical environment non the less? I listened to some of your clips and enjoyed them. I hope you learn about the magic that’s somehow missed you. Peace and love dear Victor.
