Thanks for the tutorial, just wondering what type of cast on did you use I’m having a bit of trouble with the stretchy cast on and just want to do the same as the video
I knit until it’s about under my chest, so it’s different for everyone! Also take into account how the ribbed neckline might grow longer after blocking
I've got a doubt. After transferring 30 stitches, do I have to cast on 30 more stitches on the needle which we transferred from or the other one? Sorry for asking so many questions but I am new to knitting
When dividing the sleeves, all you have to do is make less cast on stitches - casting on more sts will result in a wider body, and casting on less sts will result in a narrower body
@@the.knoticalhow many stiches did you cast on in the reels version ? both look awesome btw thankss ✨✨💕 also if you had the yarn reference for the reels version plss
This pattern is worked in the round, so I suggest getting a pair of round needles! Surely you could make two separate panels and seam them together though
Thank u for the video this is exactly what i was looking for !! Tho i have a small question: can i knit the neck rib part when i cast on or is it better to do it like the part 5 here ? Thanks !
Thank you! I love the tutorial but I don't understand why you pick up the stiches for the neckline on the left side? Does it have other reason than aesthetics? 😅 Greetings from Peru
I haven’t had any problems with the top going up the shoulders unless I’m raising my arms to put up my hair, but I believe that’s the case with every off the shoulder top! You can add an elastic band right under the ribbed hem to keep it from slipping up or down though
I have the same problem but i found out too late my sweater is almost done by now😭 but i'm planning on adding an elastic band so hopefully it will work🤞 have you fixed yours? If yes then how?😅
hi, after transferring 30 sts to the scrap yarn, should i knit 30 sts to theneedle which i transferred from? plus the text says knit 65 but before that, it was saying that we should cast on 30. i am confused 😭😭
just make your own gauge in 4"x4" square (with few additional stitches so the fabric stretches nicely), wash and block it like you would the garment and count how many stitches you got in the 4"x4" - that's your gauge. it's best to do this even if you do have the label, as your tension might not match the tension of the gauge on the label
THIS IS THE PERFECT TUTORIAL! Thank you so much for making this tutorial free, you’re too kind ❤
You’re so welcome! Glad it was helpful!
oh dang... i crochet, but now i want to learn how to knit as well. this is a lovely piece and an AMAZING tut!
As someone who’s learned both, personally crochet was harder for me to get lol
Thank you! Knitting comes easy with practice:)
I love tutorials that allow people to adjust to their size, yours are so perfect and easy to understand. Thanks so much!
Glad you like them!
my toxic trait is believing I can do this even though I've never knitted. Beautiful sweater.
LMAO same I think that too 😭😭
U prob can u never know , give it a go
Just the tutorial I was looking for
A SIZE 3 YARN TUTORIAL OMG THANK YOU
the great thing about this tut, is that you can use any yarn!!
this is such a GOOD tutorial 🥹 thank u so much! i’ll be ordering my yarn soon to start this 🫶🏻
Thank you!! Excited to see yours!
this is amazing!
Thank you so much for the tutorial ❤
I hope it’s easy to follow!😊
Thanks for the tutorial, just wondering what type of cast on did you use I’m having a bit of trouble with the stretchy cast on and just want to do the same as the video
You can follow any German twist cast on tutorial!
About how many inches did you knit for the top folded neckline?
I knit until it’s about under my chest, so it’s different for everyone! Also take into account how the ribbed neckline might grow longer after blocking
so with the width in the first equation is it the width of the tension square measured in cm?
Is size 3 yarn equivalent to 8 ply or 3 ply yarn? Thanks for the tutorial!
OMGG I LOVE THISSS
I used 2 and a half skeins for a size small! The skein was 100g each
Can i still make this if the wire of my needle is too long? 🥹
how beginner friendly is this? I love the sweater and the tutorial but I’m very new to knitting. would this be suitable for me?
If you can do the stockinette and rib knit stitch, go for it
hi! do you decrease in needle size when doing the ribbed parts?
I do not, but if that’s something you prefer look wise then go for it!
I've got a doubt. After transferring 30 stitches, do I have to cast on 30 more stitches on the needle which we transferred from or the other one?
Sorry for asking so many questions but I am new to knitting
did you figure it out
@lavinia4_ no. Do u have the same doubt?
@BrundaHV-e3n You should cast on the needle where your working yarn is attached. So not the one you transferred from.
@@ashfromvenus oh got it thank u
in your shorts video, the waist of the sweater was more slim, and in this video it is more baggy. How can I make the waist portion more slim?
When dividing the sleeves, all you have to do is make less cast on stitches - casting on more sts will result in a wider body, and casting on less sts will result in a narrower body
@@the.knoticalhow many fewer stitches did you cast on? love the tut btw :) x

How many balls of yarn did you el get with how many grams ?
how much yarn did u use
hey girl what size needles did u use!! love the tut
Thank you! For this top I used 4.00mm needles as it was recommended for my yarn
hii would it be ok for me to use normal knitting needles for this tut? as in straight 2 individual needles

@@the.knotical OK thanks so much!!
is the cast on method used also called the german twisted cast on or is it actually called elastic cast on
Yes! It’s called the German twisted cast on

did you use US size 5 needles?
Thank you! I love the tutorial but I don't understand why you pick up the stiches for the neckline on the left side? Does it have other reason than aesthetics? 😅 Greetings from Peru
You can begin picking up stitches at the neckline anywhere you prefer! I prefer picking up at any side (left or right) of the arm seams
How much yarn did you use?
can i use the long tail cast on instead of elastic?
@@yan-bbyan For the beginning cast on I do recommend using the elastic cast on so your arms have that space to move around when the garment is on
How much yarn did you use???❤❤❤
What size needles did you use?
How long did it take to make this sweater???
It took me about 3 and a half weeks on and off
my needles arent long enough and stitches keep twisting because of that💔💔
how do you keep the off the shoulder from going up the shoulders?
I haven’t had any problems with the top going up the shoulders unless I’m raising my arms to put up my hair, but I believe that’s the case with every off the shoulder top! You can add an elastic band right under the ribbed hem to keep it from slipping up or down though
Can you give some tips on how to keep the off shoulder from sliding down?Mine is a little big on me and it slides down whenever i try it😭
You’re making it to big, i suggest downsizing the original stitch count by 10
or adding an elastic band to the shoulders
Did you also downsize the sleeves by 10??? @@Yuri-uf2tu

Merhaba niçin Türkçe altyazı yok ❤
Oh no, what happens if you threw away the yarn label?😭
just make your own gauge in 4"x4" square (with few additional stitches so the fabric stretches nicely), wash and block it like you would the garment and count how many stitches you got in the 4"x4" - that's your gauge. it's best to do this even if you do have the label, as your tension might not match the tension of the gauge on the label
If it's for knowing the weight of the yarn, if you remember the brand of the skein you can search the weight in ravelry!

Nah me too
@@BrundaHV-e3n please let me know which part you’re having difficulty with and I’ll try my best to support you!
I can't get the knit and purl rounds right. I can do it with straight needles but I can't seem to get it right in circular ones 🥲
@@BrundaHV-e3n when working in the round, you don’t need to purl, only knit! There are plenty of tutorials on how to knit in the round!
