    Your shop did a great job installing the liftgate looks perfect from the video the deck is right on. I know this is my personal pet peeve is the switch for the liftgate for me personally I would’ve had it mounted sideways so don’t face up for the rain and bad weather I know it’s a weatherproof switch but that’s is me personal. Not that wrong the way it’s installed . Keep up the great videos👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

    Does Kentucky have laws where a truck does not need 'back-up' lights? The fixtures you had mounted don't have them. I thought that was a DOT requirement. What model gate is that?

    • @TruckorTrack
      @TruckorTrack  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Don GREAT QUESTION!!! The backup lights are LED and built into the backup lights. They are hard to see but they are their. In Kentucky shoes and backup lights not required. Lol just joking. That is a M16ET.

    Great video Todd. Do me a favor and tell Mr. Dirt Perfect what "music" was playing in the background portion of the time lapse, SO HE NEVER USES THAT ! Where did you get that stuff?

    • @TruckorTrack
      @TruckorTrack  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lol!! It comes with the editing software. We have to be careful with what we use so we don’t get into trouble. I will pass that along to old Dirt tho.

    • @TruckorTrack
      @TruckorTrack  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Artie sorry for the delay on the reply. I had a password issue. That is a Thieman M16ET 84x36+6 single cylinder stow away, Power Up Gravity Down with the LED lights. Need anything else please let me know.

    Good job. Do you think you could put one on a Duce and a Half Military Truck?

    • @TruckorTrack
      @TruckorTrack  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey David sorry just saw this. Yes you can put this on a military vehicle. One problem is most military vehicles are 24 Volt. We would have to swap the motor of convert from 24 to 12 volt.

    Do you disconnect the batteries and modules be for welding on the trucks?

    • @TruckorTrack
      @TruckorTrack  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great Question James!! We just disconnect the positive and negative on the battery. So we pretty much remove the battery. We do not touch the Moduels/ECU or TCU. We used to but it caused a few issues going that far. So just disconnecting the battery works great. Thanks for the question.

    How much does something like this cost to install?

    • @TruckorTrack
      @TruckorTrack  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry for the delay. We got locked out of our account. Love your name. A complete undercarriage for this size machine runs $15 to $20,000.00. If you any more questions please let me know

    Be careful Todd. It looks like you came real close to working at the end and risked getting your hands dirty operating the Theiman tailgate.

      You’ve been quite clear when Dirt Perfect is there that you don’t “work” so it’d be a shame that you get caught “working” on your own videos.
      Thieman tailgates are great. We had them on the propane trucks I drove in the 80’s and 90’s but they weren’t the fold away type but the under frame section was basically the same.

    Right off the bat, they screw up on the deck and pocket placement. Looks like crap. Thats why I will not hire anyone to install equipment on my trucks, you get people that measure wrong then fill in with odd pcs to make up for the mistake so every time you load something, your reminded of how much your paid to have it look unprofessionally done. If that was my truck, I would make them replace the deck they miscut around the stake pocket and put non diamond plate pcs that dont match.. Thats just shade tree quality that would not fly with me.
