    I love the breakdown of how to use the bounce and different grinds. I think normal golfers would benefit a lot from thinking about how they like to chip and matching their wedges to what they buy.

    • @AskGolfNut
      @AskGolfNut  15 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Golfers with a lesser skill level would benefit massively from a few short game lessons and keeping things as simple as possible. Staying away from fancy flop techniques and using simple methods to reduce the short game waste that affects so many golfers scorecards 👍

    Hi Jay, great review and a fair point made about the around green testing, yet a lot of people enjoy the visual aspect of testing reviews.
    Mizuno have nailed the colour choices, although a lot of people still don't understand that it's only a coating and does scratch up and wear off pretty quickly (depending on use). Great work as always and I hope your knee continues to heal up.?
    Kind regards

      Wedges and Putter reviews can be very similar in the fact that the performance you see on screen has absolutely got everything to do with the reviewers skill level rather than anything to do with the wedges themselves. Also it's very difficult to get through all the information to do with the grinds etc and who they are for when the reviewers are spending most of their time showing off to camera 😊😊

      You are absolutely right @@AskGolfNut there's an American club reviewer (that likes to play through) and unfortunately his short game skills are that of a blind epileptic octopus, as where the likes of yourself and say Peter Finch have very tidy short game skills.
      The T3's look to be more my choice being a mid to high handicapper, but I wonder if the set wedges that are available with say the jpx Forged or pro would be just as good because they match the irons. 💭💭 I'm assuming that would be revealed in the fitting 💭💭
      Thanks as always, kind regards.

      The original MP20 HMB were the longest of the recent hollow body blade lengths but not too massive at all. Similar to the modern day JPX925 Forged iron so in reality you are quite fortunate as you could easily look to blend with either depending on your likes and needs between both the T1 and T3 Wedges 👍

I don't know why everyone isn't doing it on every shot around the green. I actually play the face fairly straight unless I need to get over something. • @AskGolfNut
      @AskGolfNut  15 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      The Mizuno wedges seem to want to blend their previous fairly low bounce/grind option towards the Vokey to try and capture every golfers needs from either high bounce or low bounce and with the grinds it will allow the face to be manipulated whilst not compromising the leading edge 👍

    Question - Are these all centre weighed, as S23? My understanding was that was an explicit differentiator on the S23 vs T22. I never played the T24, so haven't got a comparison there.
    Sad they haven't reflected "copper underlay" with a denim copper model. Still my favourite finish.
    And the bit no-one is mentioning in current reviews - The have both moved the number to the toe, and it looks like there is a marginal change to the font, so "50" looks a little less like "60". But why has the Chrome one not got the white paint on the loft part of the number? I play 50/55/60 and I've pulled the wrong one 50/60 several times, and really wanted the numbers to stand out in the new model. The back stamp was what I liked least about the S23, so that is some improvement, but it's still not as clear as it should be on the standard one.

    • @AskGolfNut
      @AskGolfNut  15 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      The T3 has a more centred CG as did the S23. The S23 did it a slightly different way by having a similar blade size to that of the T but moving mass out of the heel and into the toe. The T3 does it via a longer blade length and more aggressive perimeter weighting 👍

    • @Fractalgeek
      @Fractalgeek 11 วันที่ผ่านมา

I used Clevelands forever and love them, but not as enamored by the RTX line as I was with the 588s…tried this last go around to go with the Vokey and don’t like them at all…My only hitch is I’ll likely try to fit into the JPX Forged when they come out. Seem to be a good blend of not too big, but some nice help…I’m 55 now and had both hips replaced, shoulder surgery, back issues (lifetime of ice hockey), so I need a little help in the speed/height department, but don’t have issues with strike…I’ve tried some of the bigger irons and can’t hit them. The JPX925 Forged irons aren't massive especially compared to something like the Hot Metal or Hot Metal HL so the Forged can easily be blended with the slightly larger T3 or slightly smaller T1. The Forged Irons are a perfect piggy in the middle size wise to have every option 👍

      Nope I'm not sponsored at all. I personally disagree with reviewers being paid by any particular brand as a part of any contract is always going to be brand specific. I have my personal preferences like all people do, no different to what brand of car people like to drive, and so I doesn't effect my reviews. Plus I use GCQuad that doesn't allow me to lie even if I wanted to. Because I give full club head data, if I was to swing faster or produce less loft etc to make one go longer then it would show straight away in the data. Honesty and Transparency is key to golf reviews especially on ones where I choose to wear the same brand as the feature of the video 👍
