    For those interested in making the jig: I made mine about ten years ago from old scrap wood. The only visible difference in mine and the one seen here is that I made a frame on mine. Twenty minutes of work, some nuts/bolts from the jar, and some scrap wood and you pretty much have a jig for free.

    Hi, I have finished the sling. It went well. And looks very good. I found if you times the total finished length cord by 16.75 . You get the total amount of oaracord you require. I.e 1meter will require 16.75 meters of oaracord. This is metric. Thanks so much for your help. I’m a new oaracord making machine now😋

    Hi, I’m going to make a gun sling. Once I have set the length. How much para cord do I need. More than the length chosen x 4? I guess it will be the extra paracord on the outer two strings. With the extra rope to create the weave. What I’m asking is there a rough rule to add on say one or half a length again? I think to play it safe I’d rather waste some than run out at the end. If you had a rough rule from your experience that would be really kind if you would share. I have liked and subscribed to your channel. Cheers again Brent

    • @ParacordPlanet
      @ParacordPlanet  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great Idea! The trilobite weave usually takes at least 2ft. of cord for each inch of finished weave. So, a finished sling that is about 1yd long would take at least 72ft of paracord-probably 100 to be safe. We also have a tutorial for a guitar strap that uses a wider version of the trilobite weave if you are interested in adapting that as a gun sling: th-cam.com/video/MuJ7tzZxoPI/w-d-xo.html I hope that helps!

    Hello, thank you for your good vidéos.
    Do you have a list of multiplicator factors of each type of bracelet knots type ?
    10 inches for 15 fts
    10 inches for 20fts
    It would be fine to resume the ability of each type of knots to concentrate the Paracord.
    With best regards.

    • @LobotomyBunnny
      @LobotomyBunnny ปีที่แล้ว

      I would measure the the cord you need then split the number in two like for example if you need 6ft then do 3 ft red 3 ft blue. But my father when he splits colors he cuts them and melts then together and adds some super glue for security. Idk how to explain it well but I hope I was able to help in some way

    A little confusing at first, you cut 10 feet off for a later date? I think, and then you use 15 feet? So it got me thinking of the 25ft, you put 10 off to the side and use the 15 for the Trilobite. I think it was the order in which stated. Using my tech writing experience, wasn't meaning to be critical. Thank you.

    Could you please introduce a yellow and blue variation? These are the colors of the Ukrainian flag.
    Many paracordists and DIY lovers around the world are looking for creative ways to raise awareness about the situation in Ukraine and also raise donations to support Ukrainians in besieged cities.
    If you step up and support Ukrainian people in the best way you can, your loyal followers around the world will do the same. Ukraine will not stand alone.
    This way we'll be one step closer to ending this war.
