For those interested in making the jig: I made mine about ten years ago from old scrap wood. The only visible difference in mine and the one seen here is that I made a frame on mine. Twenty minutes of work, some nuts/bolts from the jar, and some scrap wood and you pretty much have a jig for free.
Hi, I have finished the sling. It went well. And looks very good. I found if you times the total finished length cord by 16.75 . You get the total amount of oaracord you require. I.e 1meter will require 16.75 meters of oaracord. This is metric. Thanks so much for your help. I’m a new oaracord making machine now😋
Dude your comment is one of the most useful here. Thank you! I would just add that this formula fits exactly for this way of weaving and for the same cord diameter. Thank you another time
I had a quick look at another paracord channel. It wasn’t as concise and easy too follow. I will have to watch this over and over and make up a jig. Great job mate
Hello, thank you for your good vidéos. Do you have a list of multiplicator factors of each type of bracelet knots type ? 10 inches for 15 fts 10 inches for 20fts It would be fine to resume the ability of each type of knots to concentrate the Paracord. With best regards. Pierre B.
So I’m making a 36” gun sling, with this specific knot, but im wanting to do two colors. How would I do that? How much ft of cord do you think I’d need
I would measure the the cord you need then split the number in two like for example if you need 6ft then do 3 ft red 3 ft blue. But my father when he splits colors he cuts them and melts then together and adds some super glue for security. Idk how to explain it well but I hope I was able to help in some way
Hi, I’m going to make a gun sling. Once I have set the length. How much para cord do I need. More than the length chosen x 4? I guess it will be the extra paracord on the outer two strings. With the extra rope to create the weave. What I’m asking is there a rough rule to add on say one or half a length again? I think to play it safe I’d rather waste some than run out at the end. If you had a rough rule from your experience that would be really kind if you would share. I have liked and subscribed to your channel. Cheers again Brent
Great Idea! The trilobite weave usually takes at least 2ft. of cord for each inch of finished weave. So, a finished sling that is about 1yd long would take at least 72ft of paracord-probably 100 to be safe. We also have a tutorial for a guitar strap that uses a wider version of the trilobite weave if you are interested in adapting that as a gun sling: th-cam.com/video/MuJ7tzZxoPI/w-d-xo.html I hope that helps!
To tie Paracord Bracelet with Buckle is very neat and nice, but it will be very difficult to put on the bracelet with it and to open. Finally decided to tie bracelet without buckle.
With some imagination and skill with tying stopper knots like the two-strand diamond knot, You can easily make any of the paracord bracelets without any buckles.
Do you have a video on showing how to make your jig that you made for making me paracord bracelets!!! I was also wondering have you ever made a halti for a dog out of paracord!!!!
A little confusing at first, you cut 10 feet off for a later date? I think, and then you use 15 feet? So it got me thinking of the 25ft, you put 10 off to the side and use the 15 for the Trilobite. I think it was the order in which stated. Using my tech writing experience, wasn't meaning to be critical. Thank you.
It would be a whole lot easier to understand if you showed your whole jig! JS! I couldn’t follow it bcuz of that! Mine just wouldn’t turn out right without seeing the bottom of your jig!
How is everyone doing this so easily, I'm literally crying struggling! I've tried over six times trying to make this but I don't want to give up. I wish it was a little simpler for me to understand

@@desmo5514 it took me alittle over a week to get this one done! I have a hard time learning new things. But I made it for my friends father! He loved it 😁 thank you for the kind and positive words. I hope you have a wonderful year!!!🤞🏽☺️
Oh boy, that extra inch fucked me :o now I gotta go back and re do the whole bracelet with 1 inch less. Sorry boy the extra inch made it comfortable, for my leg
For this one, yep! Some bracelet designs use much less cord. Some designs use a lot more. Some people make bracelets because they like the style. Others make them for keeping lots of paracord on their person for emergencies. Thanks for watching!
Video would so less confusing if you kept the camera in one spot. Back and forth felt like i was on a boat. Plus those connecters are garbage use real ones

Great video! Clear and concise - I agree a trilobite weave is WAY more comfortable than a cobra weave

13ft gives you how many inches of finished braclet?

If i wanted to do that with your duck call lanyard video how many more feet of each strand would i need i would assume more than 12.5

Definitely easier with a jig! Thanks!
How many feet do I need for a 7.5" bracelet?
Great job on the new and improved video! Thank You! 👍🏻👏🏼
This is being worked upside-down. It's macrame and it works better when the knots are above and the strings hang down.
Thanks for the comment! That's an interesting idea. We'll have to try it sometime!
I am knot happy!
I just made one of these, I cut 15 feet of cord as advised and wasted 5 feet of paracord because that is how much was left over :(
Watching this for the 15th time in a month
How do you incorporate another color in the middle of the bracelet. The cord is gutted.
this really helped. thanks

👎🏼 you said to measure way too much extra cord I did a quarter more than my wrist and it fit loose on my bicep
Work out more and you won't have that problem
Where can I buy the shelf?
Do you have to have a jig to make this
Nah, you can definitely make it without a jig. This bracelet is just easier with one.
Where can you purchase the jig that you use? I’d like to make dog collars so I need a longer length all the jigs online are not long enough.
Hi, we have various length jigs here: www.paracordplanet.com/tools/jigs/?.com

Added only an extra half inch of cord for my wrist and this thing ginormous...
Sorry, how many cm must be the cord?thank you 😊
Hi! Just to be safe, we'd say about 5 meters.

How long is this paracord bracelet?
This bracelet is 9.5" and fits an 8.5" wrist!
Why the little piece of Paracord at the end why isn't it inside?
