Daniela. I was at the Needle in Edmonton when you performed. I sat at a table with your mom and family friends because there was limited seating. They are very kind. This EP hit me hard that day, just so completely blown away by it. And still, every time I hear it, I get the same feeling. You killed it sister. You are incredible.
So Chapter 1 she was in love with blonde dude but needed a little space and wanted to travel. Blonde dude didn't really like that... Chapter 2 she invites blonde dude to travel with her, but by the time he gets there to meet her, she notices that the space between them has changed them. Chapter 3 she notices the gap more and more and decides to let him go. Chapter 4 she's let go of blonde dude but still has feelings, here she's sticking around to see if something happens but she knows nothing will so she knows she needs to let go. You can see that she burns his hat here and it symbolizes the end of their era. At the end marks a new era with another guy who will probably feed more to her needs. This is how I've depicted it at least. If anyone has other opinions I'd love to know!!
Nicole Ilag in one of the chapters she sings that the blonde dude is lacking of light. I think it could also be a cultural shock, she’s Latina and sometimes I feel like “some” dudes are lacking of light and this spark of life. Well I kinda feel related with some relationships I had with other northern cultures. And every time I feel that And I travel to Latinoamerica I feel alive .
I have known Daniela since we were kids in school and I am so proud... Daniela you inspire me to do more than what I am doing. To break free from covering and to write and make my own music. These chapters are so much aesthetically pleasing to the eyes than any of the videos I watch on TH-cam nowadays. The shift of the colour tones to depict each stage of the EP arc to the careful direction of each shot subtle to the notes on the music sheet. I wish I hadn't shared Chapter 3 before I watched this. Each video somehow manages to amaze more than the last. From the color schemes to the cinematography in general, the videos are gorgeous. And, of course, Daniela, your voice is otherworldly.
