When I got my Sisterlocks I was about to cut off my hair to my ears. My mom who has Sisterlocks for 10 years convinced me to try them out. I'd say just to be careful and keep track of how fast and how much your hair grows! I retwist about every two-three months to have enough hair to actually retwist.
I just found your channel today. I like your hair and want to have micro locks to, but I don’t know if I could keep up with the re-tie. I am blind and know that I probably can’t do them by myself so I may have to find someone to do them for me. From the comments, everyone says your hair is nice. Thank you for your channel.

I’m watching this video at 11pm I’m on day 2 of my sisterlock installation. I’m excited but my loctition doesn’t use the grid method. so I’m very nervous about how my hair will look as they mature. She is good but I’m very picky! I wanted a perfect loc experience
6:20 Yes!! I've tried to do braidlocs so many times but i just couldn't get over the lack of volume, so now I am trying to do twist, but I hate how the ends unravel easily.

I kind of want to start my journey over and make them a lot smaller 😩 but I’ve invested a lot into the traditional locs I have

Braid the ends. They don’t slip as much. Just interlock the roots

How do you repair locs that are thinning?
Maybe you should find a certified sisterlock loctician and see if they work with microlocs too.
I tried that and my experience was not very pleasant so now I’m hesitant about reaching out again.
