I faded from the org. twenty eight years ago. Thinking back, I realized then I needed to work full-time, save and pay into social security. Watchtower never put one dime in my pocket. Now at age 64, I'm enjoying the fruits of my labor. I live a comfortable life. If I had listened to the elders in 1990, I'd be broke and destitute at this point. Zero regrets with the decision I made.
Yes and bottom line this JW god cheated everybody. This god promised them and it didn't come to pass. It happened once and it's going to happen again and again and again and again. Are you guys starting to see why I picked Jesus Christ??? Did you actually think this is any kind of a reality??? Well it's not because the reality is and always has been Jesus. The utopian paradise should have been here a long long time ago and it never came to pass either so it's not happening. It's time some people stop torturing themselves with more broken promises and false hope. If you want a future that is going to happen I would kindly recommend Jesus.
Meanwhile i still was a Bible-student and unbaptized publisher i had doubts about many things . One thing was if i could "say no to myself" as we was tought ! For me that is an impossible thing to do
Aren't we supposed to be suffering for the name of Jesus, not sacrificing for Jehovah? That really means give more, do more for the Governing Body. I'm thankful to be retired from a good career in the Postal Service because I escaped the cult. I did see some of my peers in the Hall taken out of tenth grade by their parents in 1975. I got to graduate in 1977. I wonder how it turned out for them. I apologize for my screen name. I got it years ago before I became a Christian and I don't know how to change it!
Do you know the hardest thing I have learned about the holy bible is that it's not going to ask for my approval. It's not going to compromise with me and ask me if this is okay. It's going to tell me how it goes. I know however without a shadow of a doubt here that if I just follow what God says first and just deal with things his way he will reward me for doing that. Skipping what I want and following his original plans. Very hard to accomplish here but doable. This JW god always tells me to stay in my own head and be selfish but that remains out of context with what the holy bible teaches us. It teaches us the opposite and try to put others first besides yourself. The JW god continues to let me down and in turn my faith is lost in him. Not the case with Jesus Christ though. One thing is very very clear. This JW god is not in control of anything. We all are and have been for a very long while now. Bonus Fact: The holy bible says everything about God's Kingdom however it says nothing about kingdom halls. That remains out of context. You guys really cannot build structures and call them true when the holy bible never mentions them. They are going to stay made up structures.
why do some have doubts? Because they have simply lied to them. Romans 1:18 Today, "...They dishonestly suppress the truth." Brothers and sisters realize that the governing body has not respected the Word of God Acts 1:7 "He answered and said to them, It is not for you to know the times or seasons which the Father has put in his own authority."
