I would love to see a Pokémon region where the people use three Dragon type Starter Pokémon instead of the usual system

I feel like all dragon would be monotonous and would either have to have added on secondary typings, be vastly different design-wise, and have different stat distributions and move pools, bc otherwise they're all 3 basically the same starter yk?

Dragon type has always been my favorite pokemon type. I think the strongest Dragons that are not legendaries are the ones that are pseudo legendary. Specifically Salamence, Garchomp, Dragapult and Braxcailbur.
I love using Mega Garchomp as part of a trick room team in doubles natdex and it can put in work when I get rid of the ice types

One thing that annoys me about the Dragon type is that it’s completely redundant offensively. Apart from hitting other dragons supereffectively (which Ice and Fairy already do) it can only do Neutral or Resisted attacks. That kinda bugs me. At least it’s good defensively, but for expected a lot more from literal Dragons.
Sure but the only type that resist Dragon is Steel and before Fairy nothing was immune to it. It’s offensive strength comes from the fact that you can hit almost everything unresisted while having a decent number of resistances yourself.
@@discomfort1074 I guess. But the Normal type already does a lot of neutral damage. I nearly always have a strong neutral attack on every Pokémon so I don’t see the point of having a dragon type moves.
@@Regeortrue. but if dragon type was super effective against other typings, it would be really op. most dragon pokemon already have really good stats and with stab dragon moves they'd be really hard to deal with... fairy exists iknow and it's one of the best typings rn(the best maybe) all that with really mediocre stats across the board
@@opop-kq1nofairy was literally created because of dragons being so strong and I kinda think it was because of the unova region dragons cause fairy came out in gen 6 lol

I updated my Top 10 Strongest series in both versions and my Top 10 Weakest series. Even though I don't have the lists up on TH-cam, I just wrote them on paper.

Weakness policy dragonite with tera dragon if set up properly is frickin amazing
Dragapult is def one of the better ones just the problem is...too many weaknesses and kinda frail. Dragonite is still strong in Gen 9 and Tera boosts him but not the best. Roaring Moon is pretty sick it deserves the #2 spot just don't get hit by a Fairy type move without Terastilizing it into a flying type. #1 Is Miraidon but yeah no legendaries...lol.
It still pisses me off that Charizard . . . literally FIRST DRAGON WE EVER SEE is not even a dragon type. . .
And to make it worse, every lizard Pokémon like nowadays becomes a "dragon type"🤢
Would say Mega Salamence is still the undisputed king. Even in the unholy format thats is natdex ubers, it still hold its own aw an a tier pokemon. While RM is definitely a threat, its raw breaking power within the versatility fall flat in the environment of stronger pokemon. Dracovish is opposite, whrre it got the strongest attack but cant land a hit either because its too slow, like really slow, or its up against no.1 Pokemon on the natdex rn which is primal groudon.
If Gen X would do something completly off the hook by having us literally just pick a random pokemon as a starter instead of having the same 3 starter variation thst would be truly amazing

why can't we get more Dragon/Fire and Dragon/Electric types since Dragons are the embodiment of Fire and Lightning just like Cardfight Vanguards Dragon Empire they are all Flame Dragons and Thunder Dragons
Charizard and Gyarados arent dragon type for game balancing reasons fire/dragon would have 3 weaknesses and water/dragon would have none in gen 1

Naganadel is pronounced アーゴヨン (ah-go-yo-n) because the Japanese syllabary (kana character system) is superior for pronunciation, as they are phonetic and pretty much never change with a few, rather consistent, exceptions.

Dracovish's mostly strong as is cuz it's a Water-type getting STAB from fishcious rend not cuz it's a Dragon tho 2nd STAB & defensive benefits from it helps too.
I'm pretty sure it's pronounced "Nug-ah-nuh-dell" (Dell like the computers) but I could be wrong.

I disagree with Mega Garchomp being inferior because of 10 base points less in speed, it makes up for that in extra bulk, therefore the extra bulk helps in a situation where it is unable to outspeed a certain mon, to attack 1st, that it used to be able to outspeed and attack 1st, regardless it no longer can attack 1st in this situation, it is more likely to be able to eat the hit and still be standing when it is, it's turn and wirh the extra offense it can more likely land a Ko with 1 hit, especially if it uses a move like or similar to Avalanche that doubles when it attacks 2nd to make use of its less speed ans extra bulk and offense
As many slow mons are also just as viable as they make up for their slow speed usually with a good combo of bulk and offense, IE Snorlax
And Megachomp still isn't even considered slow, 92 base speed is still very good, can be patched wirh a scale shot or dragon dance or rock polish or if in double battles a tailwind setting ally
In the two generations in which Garchomp and its mega existed at the same time, it's undeniable that base Garchomp saw more usage. It can be explained by the speed diff, but also by the fact that base Garchomps was way more versatile. Items like leftovers, rocky helmet, Z crystals (in gen 7) or even focus sash goes a long way on that Pokémon. Plus, even thought a speed difference of 10 doesn't seem like a big deal, 100 base speed was (and probably still is even with the recent gens speed creep) a very important threshold. Finally, mega-Garchomp can't boost it's speed like you suggested as it doesn't learn rock polish, let alone dragon dance. Scale would have been great on it, but sadly this move didn't exist in gen 6-7 (gen 8 DLC 1 move IIRC).
