Exactly. It seemed like they figured they were going to delve into AB's current situation, so naturally, Bob walked right into that conversation. Seems like AB didn't want to speak about it, then Salim and Kyle kept aggrevating Ab more but Bob actually managed to steer the convo into the right direction. That's something Kyle, Salim, Gabe, or Steiny wouldn't be able to do.

I know people who would say something like "These guys didn't think you would show." and not realize it basically starts the interaction with awkwardness. Who knows if there's anything mentally wrong with AB. I do understand where he's coming from though. He feels like he was used as a top tier player for a "prove it" value by Tampa and the whole organization. He feels like no one there actually cares about his wellbeing as a person, only in what he can produce for them as a player. If he was going to go back into the game and risk further damage to his ankle, he wanted to be valued like Gucci; rather he was treated like Goodwill.
IMO: To AB's defense, he's pretty locked in mentally, and he seems to have a good circle of people around him to help keep him that way. However, what I think has him messed up more than anything has to go back to his childhood. He's been built up by nothing but "yes men". "Here, let me get that for you", "I'll do your homework", or "Everyone quiet, Antonio is talking". Other than football, he's never had anything else challenge him. He's been the center of attention his entire life. I mean look, he can barely stand to let these guys finish a sentence, much less their questions. I don't know, maybe he loves just hearing the sound of his own voice. Either way, he can't listen to save his own life.
