I have been enjoying my Orox for about a month through steep hills and flat terrains. Everything works well, though I wish: - The frame bag's top part closer to the seatpost would have been narrower, so my legs wouldn't rub on its side. - Custom crank arms mean no one has shorter and or narrower versions. They all refer me back to the producer. - Even though I have the smaller frame size, I find it quite cumbersome for riders shorter than 170cm for the issues I just mentioned. Other than these, it's a great bike and I do recommend it to anyone that's looking for a cargo trekking ebike. I will continue using it and hopefully components for my preference could be found soon.
Watched over 20 different independent reviews. The whole point for the Tern Orox is being able to load it up to max payload but no one has tested it in this configuration which everyone wants it for. We have no idea the mileage and performance loaded to the weighted brim on different offroad wet and dry terrain. PLEASE REACH OUT TO THOSE DOING REVIEWS TO DO MAX WEIGHT LOADED REVIEWS! 😊 THATS WHATS GOING TO SELL IT! Adding suspension to this that can be adjested when loaded to max capacity would be genious. I only wish there was a slightly longer tail version like the Surely Big Fat Easy which you can really load long tools onto.
Great questions! For a single battery: 50% charge: Approx. 2.6 hours / 100% charge: Approx. 6.9 hours For two batteries: 50% charge: 5.2 hours / 100% charge: 13.8 hours On a single charge, you’ll get up to 100 miles on a single battery & 200 miles for a dual-battery setup. (Of course, range will vary depending on weather, terrain, cargo, passengers, rider, etc.)
@@ternbicycles interesting .. second question say i wanted 2 of these bike for family world tour … starting Europe and at one point flying with bike say Singapore to Australia.. cant fly with batteries how easy to get those batteries in Australia and usa
@@Dirk-e4r if you charge them through the bike cradles, it will charge them simultaneously, but will take the same amount of time as charging one after another. If you get a second charger, you can speed up the process ;)
@@ternbicycles Ah, OK, I understand. Then I'll probably get a second charger if it's this bike, otherwise the charging times would just be too heavy for me. Thanks for your prompt reply! 😁✌
Yes, you can run tubeless on your OROX stock rims. We created custom double-wall rims for this purpose. We would recommend using tubeless tires and being particularly meticulous about applying the tubeless rim-tape. One caveat: when carrying heavy cargo, our tire manufacturers recommend using a tube setup over tubeless. Maintaining proper tire pressure is also key if/when running tubeless so the tire bead is properly protected under all situations.
This bike is in direct competition with "hunting" bikes like Bakcou, Rambo, Rungu and Warthog...so why no suspension? How would it fair against those?...or a longtail Surly or Yuba?
The bike is fantastic, but how do I get it to the workshop if a defect makes it impossible to ride it over long distances? There should be a pick-up and delivery service, or a mobile workshop that can repair it at home
The Orox will begin showing up in Europe, the UK, and North America late next month (April)! 😎 - check in with your local Tern Dealer for the most up-to-date timeline.

Please share a picture of Orox near GSD. I would like to see the difference. Orox seems to be a lot higher and taking more place standing up.

Do you always charge two batteries one after the other?😳@@ternbicycles

They've thought of everything, haha. Definitely saving up for one now
Would it be possible to buy in Australia at some point?
Can the wheels be converted to tubeless?

Why are there so many comments that the bike is expensive. It seems to be in line with other bikes with these features.
Awesome content, super annoying music!
True

Private cargo helicopter service is very common dream amongs Tern bicycle owners.
That would also be a solution if it were affordable@@PerSkeles 😂✌
Background music is too loud
Now you can order the bike in 9-12 months.

Briefing? Is this the FBI?
Lovely bike, too bad they are only for people with deep pockets who like expensive playthings.😞
