This is a quick comparison between the fox karambit 599 and the fox karambit 599-XT I already had a video like this uploaded to my channel but it was done really badly so i decided to remake it
The 599 is a toy. The liner lock on mine is a joke. If you had to actually use it in a self defenve scenario you'd likely loose a finger or too, and then get murdered. I contacted and spoke with the main guy/designer of the knife and shown him pics and videos. All he cared about was where I got it from to see if it was fake (amazon not fake). I emailed him saying I would love to swap it for XT and any extra costs for shipping. Never heard from him again... I think thats a fair offer when the knives you sold are Dangerous. Im tempted to do a video to show just how weekthe lock is. Dissapointing
Anton Guidera heared about the liner lock failing before. They do state on their website (theultimateknife.com) that is the only place u can get the knife for 100% sure of it not beign a counterfeit. I got mine from their site and it has no issiues at all
Meech yeah thats it. Im pretty sure its real. I have bought fake knives before (and the have stayed open lol). The guy asked me to take it apart and see if it had certain marks to validate its authenticity. It had all the marks he described. Sent him pics for proof.... +Anton Guidera That is fucking bullshit. The linerlock is sturdy as fuck and would never ever fail under normal use. There are videos on YT where they abuse the 599 linerlock without it failing.. They smack them HARD against a table. Show some videoproof of your 599 with a "flimsy lock" as you call it lol. You probably bought a fake from ebay and are complaining. But the real thing would never fail and there are several stresstest videos on TH-cam proving it so why dont you FUCK OFF and stop spreading lies and missinformation. They offer a way to remove that locking mechanism as a couple of people have complained about that happening inside their pocket. I think they have an instructional video or something about how to do it
I actually took my knife apart and took the secondary locking mechanism out because it actually makes the wave useless its pretty easy to take out but it does mean taking apart your knife which some people dont like
@@arthurlamir494 under enough pressure most liner locks fail by bending into the opposite scale. It will still render the knife useless but at least the blade won’t close on your fingers
I have a Cold steel cod 4 tanto and it is a brute, good metal xtc-xhp, never closes on me, in fact if you put tension on the blade it wont close because the mechanism it has like a hook so if the blade puts tension on the hook you can't release the hook. I always close the pocket knife in gravity . My knife is sharp like a razor, I sharp it myself, and I always take it apart and clean it like a gun . It's always with me, for me its a tool, not a weapon. RESPECT your blade and your tools , that is discipline .
The XT version can get locked in the CLOSED position? I thought people are worried about the 599 liner lock closing on their fingers. Are you sure these are a good choice?
You can cut a small piece from a lolly pop or q-tip stick to shove in there, and it will be blocked from locking. Can always color it black with a sharpie marker.
Why would you need a weapon at school which is not a pocket knife ? This thing is not a just a pocket knife, its not made to cut your sausages anions and what not, its a tiger claw made to cut tendons and arteries, make your opponent bleed to death .
Why the fuck bring this nasty weapon to school as a starter.. If you have any trouble at school A steel ballpen is fkn nasty to stab with.. and the bully aint gonna continue.. But to use a karambit and being aware of what it can do.. you would face murder charge if that would happen on school grounds. Dont missunderstand me here. If I was in a situation i first would evaluate if a karambit would be nessesary in the first place. If it was just a simple beef i wouldnt even think of using it.. if it was however a situation where my family is with me.. and I was very unsertain of the outcome then definatly the karambit would come out and not for show.. i would use it to do as much damage as i saw nessesary. With an evil weapon as this you are nearly unbeatable even if you are out numbered.
2663540 I wouldn't exactly call it a evil weapon. I would never draw any knife on anyone unless my own life or that of my loved ones depended on it. Anything with an edge can cause plenty damage. This isn't some kind of magical weapon that'll make you unbeatable. You're endangering yourself when using it without beign trained to do so.

xt is so pointless as the only real way to open it is from straight out of your poket... standard one is so much more versatile with the flipper tab
