  • Work planning is always in flux for me as the type of work I’m doing is always growing and changing. But I’ve found a rhythm this year in a hobonichi weeks, and looking forward to using a hobonichi weeks mega for 2022!

Thank you for sharing this! I work sort of in technical side but also product development for my employer, so I actually took inspiration from your earlier videos, and I have a Hobo Weeks Mega for the weekly dashboard and notes in the back, and I use a techo for the every-day tasks that come up! So far it's been working, having the tasks in the weekly prevents me from losing them.

Looks like a perfectly fine system to me! Like you said, if it ain't broke.... Don't go down that rabbit hole girl. Keep it functional

You could do this in a cutdown stalogy. I like to use an A5 and cut it down to weeks size and then draw out your months and weeks. And have lots of notes pages.

Can't use this due to Monday start.. the work team has calendar meetings that plans for events DAILY... I could never quickly double-check our calendars... because my coworkers all have Sunday-start. Even our official published even calendar is sunday-start. What a shame. I really wish hobonichi will consider making cousin or weeks with sunday start. I have the techo Sunday-start.. it's not my favorite layout.

Really appreciate your channel and this video. I’ll purchase mine this week. I was wondering what’s the difference between your horizontal and vertical weekly ? Thanks!

I’m still struggling to really define that myself 😅 but the horizontal weeklies help me future plan tasks for projects I’m in charge of, where the verticals are more of a running list of anything that comes in via email

this was a really interesting video!
I am curious though, if you draw out the vertical coloumns for each week to use in the planner, why don't you prefer a bullet journal or a vertical planner instead of hobonichi weeks? since you are already drawing out the lines for each week. I have seen some bullet journal spreads where ppl draw out all their monthlies at the start so they can plan in the future and then their weekly layouts like you do :)

Primarily because of the planner size! I’ve thought about setting but a billet journal (and may in the future) but when I’m traveling I’m usually sitting at the corner of someone else’s desk and the smaller footprint of the weeks has been nice!

Im in two minds about buying a a6 planner like here or making a ringbinder thats more customisable. Whats your opinion on practicality of the ringbinder. And also what pen do you use ?

Ring planning is great! I just struggled having too much flexibility and found myself always printing bee inserts. I do find ring planning very functional though
