Great Demo / Video Guide on the Triple Score! The Legend models need this backlit keypad, a reccuring gripe/observation by many Legend owners and prospective buyers. My two current favorite SMF value-pack detectors on the market right now are the Nokta Triple Score and Minelab Xterra Elite Expedition Pack. Alot of bang for the buck!
I like both but as far as value I think the Nokta Triple Score has more to offer and has great performance. It really unmasked well in iron and has a carbon graphite shaft. You also get two coils. The elite doesn’t give you those things. But again both are good machines 👍
i just ordered one of these are these difficult to operate are the settings hard to learn this is my first detector just trying to find a different hobby thought i would try this detector
They are not difficult to operate and you can turn on and go if you so choose but as you learn the machine there are settings you can adjust. For the money this is an excellent buy with all that you get !
Since the display and interface are the same like Double Score, I was wondering if the difference between both machines is not only software. Never opened those machines, but it seems the hardware are quite similar or even the same.
I think of lot it is software but there could be some hardware enhancements under the hood to help these machines perform the added settings and features that offered on the Triple Score. That’s just a guess though. 👍😊
@@southernrelicadventures honestly thinking technically about the extra features triple score offers, I belive only the firmware could handle with this. Again, I am not an eletronic expert. Just speculating. Unfortunately there are no specialists on youtube going deeper on this subject. 😕 and of course, Nokta will never talk about it.
I haven't even learned my Legend all the way. Will the triple score outperform the Garrett VX9? This is my question. I really want the Garrett since I used to swing the AY Max
I recommend the Triple Score! I have been hearing GREAT THINGS about it!The introductory price won't last forever and it's a steal with 2 coils and headphones included!! I can't wait to get mine and try out the Relic Mode 🤩🤩
The Triple Score is loaded feature wise and a great machine. The Garrett Vortex is still in development phase but will be released soon. My suggestion would be watch a few videos once the Vortex is released. Weigh out what you are looking for in a detector and for the type of sites you are going to hunt. Choosing a detector is a very personal choice sort of like buying a car. Go with what you like and learn the machine. There are many great machines out there right now.
Hey I have a question so let's say you just go to a random multi-frequency on your detector and you do a noise suppression so it goes through and it checks and it picks the best channel best frequency. Is there really a need to ground balance since it kind of already went through all the options and checked and picked the best one? Or do you just go ahead and ground balance and only use the ground noise suppressor or check or whatever you want to call it if it gets bad?
@@jimgoings9106 the noise cancel is to deal mainly with EMI and selecting the best frequency that doesn’t have interference that’s why when you noise cancel you hold the coil off the ground slightly. Ground balance is to allow the machine to scan the ground and knock out interference that the mineralization could have in the soil. I hunt in mild sandy soil so ground balance is not always necessary. Ground suppressor can help with wet soil conditions and higher mineralization in the soil. Hope that helps and I wasn’t confusing. Thanks for the question
@@southernrelicadventures so the first thing you do is noise cancel and then ground balance? Thank you again. Just want to make sure I'm getting it dialed in.
I have the Double Score and the Triple and the Double will hit about the same as the Triple. The Triple is just a little more customizeable and has more features but the Double is a great machine! Have no regrets!

How deep is the device underground?
Really depends on soil I have very neutral soil so on some targets I can hit upwards of 12 inches depending on target size
